*****Gerard’s P.O.V*****

“Yes.” She said.

I couldn’t help but smile really big at that, I pulled her up from her seat and pulled her into a tight hug. I was even happier when she hugged me back.

“Let’s go meet your baby.” I told her and grabbed her hand and lead her to Clare, who was still asleep.

I sat her down on the sofa and went over to Clare and held her in my arms, I shook her a bit and tickled her in trying to wake her up.

“Clare,” I cooed at her, “Wake up baby, I want you to meet somebody.” I kept talking to her until she started to open her eyes, “Well good morning.” I said to her, I looked over to the clock and I knew she would need to be fed soon.

I turned back around to find Liz’s eyes glued to Clare, I couldn’t help but smile at that. Carefully, I walked over to her and put Clare in her waiting arms.

********Liz’s P.O.V*********

Gerard handed me his baby - our baby and I just smiled at her. I never saw her before, so I never knew how much she looked like the both of us. She had Gerard’s dark hair and hazel eyes, but my nose and most of my facial features.

“She looks a lot like me.” I said.

“She does, it kinda made it hard on me, seeing her looking so much like you but not having you here with me, with us.” He said as he sat down beside me and stroked her face.

“I’m sorry.” I said as I rocked her in my arms and kissed her forehead.

“Don’t be, I understand where you were coming from, I’m just glad you’re here now.”

I felt like I wanted to kiss him but I didn’t want to take my eyes off of her, I lost 2 weeks and I didn’t want to lose any more time with her. After a couple of minutes she started to squirm in my arms. I frowned down at her and rocked her in my arms in hopes of calming her down. It worked for a bit but soon she started to full on cry.

“What’s wrong?” I asked Gerard.

“You tell me.” He said.

I frowned at him not answering me, but her cries made me forget about him. I balanced her on my shoulder and checked her diaper, it was empty. I balanced her back in my arms and held her with one hand, I took the finger of my free hand and put it near her mouth, she instantly started sucking on my finger and I giggled.

“She’s hungry.” I told Gerard.

“Correct you are.” He said then stood up, “Come on, I’ll teach you how to make a bottle.”

I smiled and stood up and followed him, he showed me how to do it then I did it. After I fed her and later changed her diaper, the power came back on and Gerard told me it was time for her to nap. He took me into her nursery and let me put her to bed.

“Cant she sleep in my arms?” I asked as we left her room.

“She could, but she’ll only sleep for a bit then be cranky for the rest of the night.”

“Okay.”

He took me downstairs and sat me on the sofa; he turned on the baby monitor so we could hear if she woke up or needed us.

“How have you been?” I asked.

“Tired, but it’s all worth it. What about you?”

“I’d be lying if I said happy, I miss you, and her, and everything.” I told him.

“Then stay with us.” He said and held my hand.

“I think I might.” I said and cuddled closer to him. He wrapped his arm around me and held onto me tightly.

“Having a hard time breath.” I struggled to say to him.

“Sorry,” he said then loosened his grip a bit, “I’m just afraid if I let go, you leave.”

“I’m not going anywhere, I promise.” I told him then kissed him.

He and I were both hesitant at first but the kiss soon turned into a passionate kiss that we both missed.

“I love you.” I told him when we broke apart.

“I love you to.” He said.
