**********Liz’s P.O.V**********

I always thought that before I died, my life would flash before my eyes. But as the stop sign came flying towards my head, nothing flashed before my eyes, but I did hear something. Something I had only heard once before in my life, a newborn baby. My baby.

Another burst of wind hit me right before the sign hit me, knocking me out of the way. Not fast enough though, the sign hit me on my forehead above my eye, instantly my vision from my left eye was covered in red. I crawled over to the edge of the sidewalk and just sat there.

I could have died. I could have died and not even have met my own daughter. What kinda of parent does that? I’m her mother, she needs me. How can I have been so selfish? What the fuck is wrong with me?

The wind or stinging above me eye was no longer bugging me. My heart that was now aching me. I want my baby. I stood up, ignoring the wind that was pushing, and made my way to Gerard’s house.

******* Gerard’s P.O.V*********

I opened the door, expecting my parents or Mikey, but I was shocked to see Liz standing there with blood covering half her face.

“H-hey,” She said, “I-I w-was out when it g-got really bad and I-I,” She struggled to continue.

“Hey, it okay, come on in.” I said grabbing her hand and pulling her though my face quickly, I didn’t want to have her see Clare, I didn’t was her to freak out and leave just yet. I miss her.

I sat her down on a kitchen chair and pulled out some things to clean up her face. She didn’t resist, or talk, she just let me do what I was doing. When I was done, I pulled away to look at her face, I hadn’t seem her since she gave birth. She was still beautiful. I was lost in her beauty.

“I guess you’re wondering why I’m here.” She said pulling me from my thoughts.

“Kinda, but I’m glad you’re here, I miss you.” I said as I carefully brought my hand to her face and stroked her. “What happened?”

“I was out for a walk when it got really bad, and the wind knocked me down, I could get back up. But at the same time a stop sign came flying my direction.” My eyes widen when she said that, she could have died. “But another gust of wind knocked me out of the way.”

“Oh my god.” I said then pulled her into a hug, I couldn’t imagine life without her, even if we weren’t together. She was hesitant at first in the hug but she gave in and hugged me back.

“But the only thing I could think about,” She started as we pulled away from each other, “Was Clare. She’s my baby and I never met her.” Her voice cracked and it sounded like she was going to cry.

“I wanna meet her.” She continued, “C-can I?” She asked me.

I was shocked, for so long she was so persistent about wanting nothing to do with her, and now she wanted to be involved in her life.

“I understand if you don’t want me to.” She said and looked down, “I’ll leave now she said and started to get up.”

“No,” I said an pushed her back down in the seat, “You can meet her, she is your daughter, our daughter, and she needs a mom. But before I let you meet her, I need to know that you will be in her life. I don’t want you to get her hopes up and eventually abandon her. So I ask, will you there for her?”

“Yes.”
