Surrender The Night

I could literally feel the anxiety about to explode out of the pit of my stomach. Mikey was literally steps away from my door, where me and his brother had just kissed inside my room. Gerard didn't need any time to process. He ran toward my window, looked down, decided it wasn't worth it, and turned back to me. I pointed at my closet and he nodded and hid against the wall behind my clothes. I quickly closed the door to my closet just as Mikey knocked on my bedroom door.
"Come in..." I said, rather quietly. He opened the door and walked toward me, confused looking, but not hurt... yet.
"Look, Frank, I'm sorry I kissed you okay? I completely understand if-if you don't like me back..." He trailed off. The pit in my stomach? It just grew bigger. "You-you didn't kiss me back-and, well, ugh this is so hard to get out." He said.
"Mikes, I-I'm sorry I just... I like someone else." Great Frank, now you havta tell him who. I scolded myself. He looked at me, definitely hurt this time. Then, the hurt was replaced with a slight anger.
"Oh yeah? Who?!" He snapped. I felt myself shrink, it was like he just grew bigger in rage and frustration and I grew smaller in fear and guilt.
"Uh, I uh..." I didn't want to say it, he would completely hate me.
"Just say it. It's not like it'll make a difference, you already hurt me." He looked me straight in the eye.
"Ge-, aw fuck Mikey! Why is it any of your business?" I said, louder than I expected.
"Because you just broke my heart! You know that I deserve at least this!" I knew he was right. He did deserve it.
"Gerard..." I said quietly.
"Who? Gerard?! Is this a joke?! I was the one who introduced you to him. I was the one who made you two talk to each other. Frank! He's my brother! You've known me longer! And anyway, he's two years older than you!" Mikey snapped, fuming.
"Look, I know okay, I know, but Mikes, you're like a brother to me. That's how close we are. I love you Mikey! Like family, that's always deeper than a crush, Mikes, come on, would you really be willing to risk our brothership for a relationship? And anyway, I thought you told me you had a crush on Ray just about a month ago." I knew I had some good points in there. Mikey knew it too, I could see in his eyes that he knew he was beat. He smiled warmly at me and hugged me.
"You promise that we're bros for life?" He asked.
"Of course!" I said.
"Dang Frank, you really know how to make me not hate you..." He said with a chuckle.
"That's cause I'm not that simply hated." I said matter-of-factly.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, now can we get back to our chill session? Ray is probably wondering what the fuck is going on..."
"Haha, yeah sure." I said
"Hey by the way, do you know where your little crush went off to?"
"Uh, he may or may not be in my closet..." I said. Mikey just laughed.
"Are you joking or...?" He asked, still amused. And at that moment, my closet door opened and Gerard came out, brushing himself off after he stood up. Mikey just looked at us both confused and surprised that I was actually serious.
"Okay, well, glad you two don't hate each other, now, I'll meet you guys at ours cause Mrs.Iero doesn't know I'm here so I'll just go out the window..." Gerard said awkwardly. Mikey just continued to stare at us until Gerard disappeared through the window and he turned to me questioningly.
"It's a long story, lets just head over to yours." I said, dragging him out of my room.
