Did You Come To Stare Or Wash Away The Blood?

Turn My Headphones Up Real Loud, I Think I Need Them Now Can You Stop The Noise?

Chapter 5
-Turn My Headphones Up Real Loud, I Think I Need Them Now Can You Stop The Noise?
Mikey's POV
Elena's tears soaked through my shirt and I could feel the cold on my chest. She was so defenceless, I couldn't believe anyone would hurt her. I looked at Gee and motioned for him to leave the room.
"I'm so sorry Elena, I should have been there for you," I whispered in her ear as she fell into a restless sleep. For about five minutes we stayed there, she was curled up on my lap and I was thinking about what was going to happen now. I eventually carried her into what we considered our bedroom, placing her on my bed, which was probably a hell of a lot more comfortable than my chest. "Gerard, I think we need to talk," I said in a low voice as not to wake Elena. Gerard stood up from his bunk and placed his sketch pad on Franks bed.
"Oh, I think we do Mikes. Maybe you could explain to me what exactly you had been doing with Lillian about 15 years ago?" Damn my brother was good.

Elena's POV
I woke up in a strange bed and my face felt strangely sticky. It took me about five seconds to remember what had happened, and the fact that it wasn't a dream. I was still in shock and pain. Groaning in pain I sat up on the bed.
"Morning Elena, how'd you sleep?" Gerard asked, I only knew it was him because of the shock of bright red hair. My hand fell open a pair of glasses that had been left by the side of me.
"I've slept better but I've slept way worse too. Any news on the other girl?" I asked him swinging my legs over the side of the bed.
"No, Pedicone hasn't shown up either. Frank and Toro are out looking for him. It's hard finding a drummer that stays with us for long you know," He started rambling and talking more to the paper he was drawing on than to me. He's a lot different on stage to how he is in private, he's more reserved in private.
"I know, and most of us are still grieving over Bob leaving. He was every killjoys favourite drummer y'know," Gerard laughed slightly, and looked up at me from his drawing.
"You are so a Green Day fan," he chuckled. I glared at him. "What? You said 'Thank Tré' instead of thank God and you say Y'know. You are obviously an Idiot," The upper-class British accent he attempted to say that in caused me to burst out laughing. Gerard then flashed me a toothy grin.
"So, what you drawing?" I asked, I knew he was a talented artist so I wanted to see what he tended to draw. Gerard just tapped the side of his nose and went back to drawing. I was about to give him my middle finger when I decided against it, so instead I just poked my tongue out at him. Which he did in return.
There was a door at the far end of the room in which we were in, guessing it was the toilet I headed towards it. Opening the door I found that it was in fact the toilet, thank Tré for that. I did what I had to in the bathroom but I spent a lot of time building up the courage to look at the mirror. My face wasn't that bad. I had a split lip, black eye, purple splotches on both cheeks but my nose was fine. No break. Everything would heal and no one would ever know that I had been beaten to a pulp by a blond bimbo.
An eye-liner pencil was laying on the side. Putting eye-liner on is a skill that is harder to perfect with someone who wears glasses but I had still managed it. Eye-liner and mascara were the only make-up I ever wore. I just looked at the make-up; I wanted to put it on.
"I don't think I need it now," I muttered to myself. It wasn't going to make any difference today.
I left the toilet and this time Mikey was practising bass in the bedroom. He was so focused on what he was doing, I didn't want to disturb him. Quietly closing the door I slid down it so I was positioned on the floor where I could see him playing. His eyes were closed and his head was facing the floor. Biting his bottom lip as he concentrated.
Eventually the song came to an end and Mikey looked up from the floor. He noticed me sitting there and gave a faint smile before placing the fender bass onto the bed. His tall frame become even more so as he stretched his arms into the air. Walking over to me I could see the conflict that was going on inside his mind. He quickly joined me on the floor and smiled. He looked into my eyes and after a few seconds he built up the courage to say what was on his mind.
"Elena, I think I may be your father," Mikey said to me grabbing hold of my hand and love filling his hazel eyes.
