Just another Killjoy

Midnight's P.O.V

My body was freezing, I heard low mumbles of people speaking. I opened my eyes, a white light was burning my eyes. I squinted and tried to focus my eyes. I blinked a couple of times before I could see my surroundings. I was in a completely white room. Doctors and nurses were rushing around the room I was in. I noticed what I was wearing and then my arms. I was dressed in a white hospital gown, I had clear tubes running into both of my arms.

A doctor paused and he observed me. He had a white clipboard in his hands and was quietly speaking to himself. "Excuse me?" I said, my voice was rough and shaky. The man looked at me like I killed his family before running away. "Rude..." I mumbled. Suddenly a million nurses ran to me. They held me down while someone stuck a needle into my neck.

Party's P.O.V

Our plan was settled. We let Snow do her thing in the office and then see what information she comes up with. Luckily Korse has found her out, dumb ass. If Snow comes up with good information that leads to her whereabouts then we're good to go. We decided to just go in and get out, guns blazing at anyone that was a threat.

I sipped on my coffee and waited for Snow to come back from her job. She said she only had to work for at least an hour or two since Korse likes to go out a lot. I tapped my foot on the ground nervously and saw Nathan sit on the chair in front of me. He yawned and noticed my coffee. "Hey, where can I get one of those?" His voice was soft. I never heard Nathan speak yet so I was surprised he spoke to me. "I'll make you one" I left the couch and made Nathan a coffee. Once I was finished I handed it to him and he thanked me. "So, your, uh, Madeline's brother right?" I sat on the couch and took a mouthful of coffee. Of course he is her brother. Who else would he be? "Yeah" He kept his eyes on the cup in his hands.

"Do you have a killjoy name?" I was actually interested to see what it was. "Yeah, Venom Revenge. What's yours? Sorry I didn't really get introduced to everyone here" He laughed quietly. "Party Poison, nice name by the way" I smiled and he smiled back. "You're the guy on the note..." His smile was completely wiped from his face. I frowned and he continued. "Do you love her?" He murmured to me. "Yeah... I mean, I do. I've never really had these feelings for another girl before" I scratched my forehead and drowned the last of my coffee.

"Korse is an asshole" Venom's face changed from mutual to Murderous in seconds. I agreed with him and he rubbed his face. "I only just got her back, to get her taken from me. 5 years. 5 years of no communication from her, I thought she was..." He stopped and looked up at me. "I thought he ghosted her. Then she shows up on my door, I didn't know what to do at first. I mean, I was confused but so happy. Then the note... you're gone and then she left for you. It just isn't fair" He pulled on his blue hair and closed his eyes.

"Don't worry, we're getting her back" I said. "Yeah, that's a certain. So we're waiting for Katherine to come back?" He asked. I was confused for a moment. I didn't know who Katherine was until I remembered the plan. Snow's name must be Katherine. "Yeah, she should be back any minute now" I placed the mug in my hands on the ground. Nathan and I had a conversation on the plan.

My mind wandered to Ray when Nathan went to have a shower. Ray hasn't come out of his room since we got to the diner. It was silent in his room and I was starting to get really worried about him. Curiosity peaked inside of me and I walked the hallway to his room. I opened the door silently and saw him curled up in a ball on his bed. I got closer to him and looked over his shoulder. At the sight of his face his eyes flicked up to meet mine. I inhaled a sharp breath, holy fuck. He scared the complete shit out of me. I stumbled back and clenched my chest. I straightened up and gently laid my hand on his shoulder. He shrugged it off.

Confused and a little upset, I sat on the edge of his bed. "Hey, you alright champ?" I rubbed his shoulder and heard him sigh. "No. I miss her, she is like... the little sister I never had" He flipped over to face me. "We're getting her back today" I smiled and his eyes looked happier. "Come on! Up you get!" I jumped off of his bed and grabbed the iPod that was laying on the wooden bedside table. I clicked through the music and found A day to remember.

I pressed on a random one and smirked. The song played and I grabbed Ray's hand, pulling him up. I didn't want him to be sad and if I didn't do anything then I'd be like him. Stuck in bed, wishing for her to come back magically, I didn't want that and I know that she wouldn't either. I danced to the music and Ray laughed at me. I pointed at him and told him to dance or I'd shoot him. He jumped around. 'Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail' was playing.

When Ray finally had a smile on his face I stopped and he grinned at me. "Thanks Gee. I really needed that" He said, sincerity present in his voice. I was going to reply when I heard a girl singing with the music. It was coming from the next room. Ray raised his eyebrows and we quietly walked toward the room. I opened the door and saw Electric's head bobbing up and down while washing dirty clothes in a tub of soapy water. I faced Ray and his eyes softened. I know that look, I know it because that's the one that was on my face the first time I saw Madeline. I coughed and she turned around quickly.

"Oh my, you scared me" She placed her hand lightly on her chest. "Sorry, Uh, this is Jet star. Jet Star meet Electric Wreck" I said. I heard the front door open and we all turned our attention to it. It was silent until a massive bang came from the kitchen. Nathan must have heard it because the shower turned off. His head poked out of the door and looked at us. I walked down the hallway cautiously. I went up the stairs and checked the area. Snow was in the kitchen. She had puffy eyes and was wiping at her nose.

I softened in my spot and slowly went up to her. "Snow? Are you okay? Do you know where she is?" I asked slowly and calmly. She flinched and slowly looked into my eyes.

"Sh-She's gone. She's one of them. I-I..." She broke down and fell to the floor. I rushed to her and picked her up. "Hey, where is she?" I asked. "She's with Korse, the main building. The laboratory" She rambled on. A sound came from behind me. I looked up and saw a sorrowful Electric. "In other words. She's going to be transformed" She said quietly. Snow nodded and cried. "Transformed? Transformed into what?" I asked, my voice higher then usual. I already knew the answer before it left her mouth. I just wanted confirmation. When she said it... my heart shattered into dust.

"The ultimate Draculoid" a tear rolled down her cheek. I felt myself freeze, I blanked out. How could it be? Madeline. The one that I wish to call mine. The one that was going to be turned into one of those mindless freaks. Anger flooded through my bones. I punched the closest cabinet, punching a hole through it. Snow and Electric flinched at my sudden outburst. Just when I was about to leave the front door opened and a smiling Dr. D walked in.

"Madeline!" He called out. His smile faltered and he frowned. "Party? What's going on?" He asked. "Madeline isn't here" I muttered. "Where is she?" He looked worried. "Korse has her" I grunted, he tensed up and glared at me. "Why does Korse have my niece?" I found the piece of paper and threw it out to him. He unfolded the piece of paper and his eyes widened. "Why? W- You had one job! One job! Keep her safe! DON'T Let her step foot in Battery city. One fucking job Party" He threw his hands up and rubbed his face in frustration.

"Where is she now?" He said, a hint of anger still in his voice. Snow sobbed again and I looked down. "Where is she!?" he pushed me. "She's going to be one of them" I firmly stated. Dr. Death's face went completely white. "I'll call the killjoys that I know to come here. We're getting her back" Dr. Death turned around and walked out of the diner. I saw Snow still on the ground, electric ran outside to help Dr. D. I went to Mike's room and woke him up, I told him what was happening and got up, no questions were asked.

I bumped into Ray and he was dressed and ready to go. "I overheard" He mumbled. I went into Frank's room, his bed was occupied by two bodies. I coughed and saw Frank's head shoot up, he groaned and looked at the body beside him. "What?" He muttered. "Get up. Now!" I demanded. You always have to be tough with Frank when waking him up. If you don't he simply just goes back to sleep, lazy ass. I shot him a look and his eyes widened. He tripped over the blankets that were tangled in his legs, causing Sunlight to roll off the bed with him. She groaned and pushed Frank off of her. "Get off me. You weigh a freaking load" She spat and sat up.

"Get dressed. We're getting Madeline. Now" I said to her. She got up and ran to the bathroom. Frank hurriedly pulled his jeans up and buttoned them. "Do you want to watch me get dressed?" Frank laughed. I flipped him off and went into my room. I got changed into my normal attire and looked in the mirror that was on my wall. My roots were showing and my eyes looked dead. I slipped my mask on and left.

Killjoys came from far and wide to get Madeline out of Battery city. A few people didn't even know her but had heard of her before. One by one they came into the diner. The plan was set and we jumped in our vehicles. I gripped the steering wheel hard and looked to the passenger seat where Mikey was sitting. His jaw was clenched and his eyes were looking straight ahead. Frank, Ray and Sunlight were seated in the back. They too had a look of 'no playing games' on their faces. I turned the key in the ignition and drove toward Battery city.

My eyes glanced at the rearview mirror and saw a whole line of cars following behind me. I smirked and turned the radio on.

I'm coming for you Madeline.
