Gerard POV

No. Lyra's father is standing right in front of me, right now. He shot his own wife. "I thought you were dead?"
"The bitch lied." he says in his monotone voice.
Mixed feelings are rushing through my head. Lye's worst enemy, but he just became our rescuer. No. No, I'm not starting this again. I'm not gonna turn my life any more into a Mission Impossible movie.
"Thank you. Goodbye." I motion for Frank to get back in the car, and I go and carry Lyra into the backseat. She doesn't seem to notice. She saw her dad again, I wouldn't be surprised if that triggered her Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and she's in the middle of a flashback. Without another word, I leave him there, and drive all the way back home. I'm done with all the trouble, all the stress, everything. It's going to stop.

We've been at home for while now. I've had a lot of time to think about things, and a lot of time to consider stuff, and I've come to a conclusion. I'm sure. It'll be the easiest way to deal with everything that's happened in the last few months.
Frank walks in with his coffee, as usual, in the morning. "Morning." he says.
"Morning." I reply.
Usually, that's where we delve into a conversation, but I don't have any room for other thoughts. This is too important to not think about.
"Alright, what are you thinking so hard about, Gee? I can literally see the gears grinding in your head."
"I've just been wondering if it's all really worth it."
"What's worth what?"
"You know who I'm talking about. Don't pretend you don't"
He nods, sighing loudly. "It's hard. You just shouldn't do anything too drastic."
"I don't think I can do anything more drastic then what's happened in the last few months."
"You're right in that case. But remember, dude. This isn't a light topic. It's not like you're thinking about something easy. Like what color you want to dye your hair or what kind of pizza to order. It's a life you're deciding about. A living breathing person."
I nod. That's why it's taken so long for me to come up with the decision I had in mind.
"I better do it now, before I change my mind."
He furrows his eyebrows, and I go onto the computer and start typing furiously.
