The Only Hope For You Is Me

*Gerard’s POV*
I stood up, too and joined Ray. He smiled at me. I thought that he knew what was going on, so I decided that I might as well just talk to him about it. “Do you know Frank?”
“Not really. He doesn’t talk to anyone and tries to leave as soon as possible, when you start a conversation with him. I think that he is quite traumatized by everything that happened. But it surprised me that he stayed so long with you.”
“Really, that was long? He barely talked to me. “
“Don’t worry, talk to him again, maybe he will be more open then. You seem to like him?”
“Well, kinda, I guess.”
We changed topics and discussed Ray’s job. He was helping in a group which tried to work out laws for the base. When they would be done, everybody would vote whether they agreed.
At about 8:30 I left to go to meet the team I was going to work with. Even though I was excited, I was constantly distracted by the thought of Frank.

This is just a short chapter, because I don't have a lot of time today.
