Struggling with more Ways than one

~ 1 month later ~
It's may, almost the end of school, and my escape with Gerard is ever so close. The excitement in the air is almost tangible, like I can reach out and grab it with my bare hands.
My grades have improved especially with Oli helping me now.
I walk into the after school workroom to find oli awating me, I pull out my things and begin my assignments.
I work steadily, solving the quadratic formulas in my head faster than I ever thought I was capapble of. I write down my awnser and show it to Oli, he looks at me in shock.
"Dude, youre brilliant, I cant beilive you were failing at one point."
I blush and Oli smiles.
"No offense though." he laughs and flips his long locks.
"None taken." I reply with a small smile, causing olis grin to grow wider.
I laugh and think back to when we were together.
"How's lif been going sine, yknow." I motion to my left.
"Good, good, therapy's been really helping."
I nod, knowing that when I was able to tell Gerard what happened that that release and relief was a big weiht off my shoulders. Gerard eventually coaxed me into therapy, which I gladly signed up for as long as he attened all the sessions by my side.
God I love him so much. We've been going out in secret for almost a year now. I smile thinking back to how he surprised me on my birthday with a surprise party.
~Flash back~
"Babe why am I blindfolded?" I giggle as Gerard secures my seatbelt.
"You'll find out soon sugar." He kisses my forehead before getting into the drivers seat.
I sigh, bored.
"Do you want me to sing?" Gerard asks.
"Although that'd be lovely as always, I'd like you to pay attention to the road sweetheart." I say sweetly.
"Alright." Gee replies and clicks a CD into the player, and Ironically it's Three Cheers.
"Looks like I get to hear you serenade me anyways." I coo.
Gerard hums along to his own voice for a while until we reach ou destination.
"We're here." Gerard announces.
"Can I take my blindfold off now." I pout and fold my arms over my chest.
"Nope." He laughs as he unlocks the passenger door and carries me inside.
I hear murmurs and hope we're not in public, I hope we're at home.
Gerard rips off my blindfold to reveal our living strewn across with Happy birthday banners and streamers. The whole gangs here, Kat, Bob, Mikey, Ray, Frankie, and even Oli.
I feel tears welling up in my eyes and I cry into Gerard's chest.
"What's wrong baby?" he asks, his voice filled with concern.
"No one ever celebrates my birthday anymore." I sob.
Gerard places his hands on my shoulders and leans down so we're face to face.
"We have a reason to sweetheart, for starters youre my everything and secondly, its our birthday." I nod and kiss his soft lips. I take his hand and am led over to the gang and give everyone a hug, receiving the biggest from both Frankie and Kat.
The night was spectacular, I couldn't have wished for anything more.
I was surrounded by friends and people who loved me, and best of all, someone who is just as important to me as I am to them.
Gerard.
~End flashback~
"Fletcher?" Oli asks, breaking me from my trance.
"Yea?"
"Do you want to head out to the movies somewhere, Like on a date?" I blush and think about it for a while, I need to tell oli im in a relationship... I trust him enough.
"Oli, I would love to, but I'm in a relationship."
Olis hopeful face shatters. "Oh, we can just go as friends if you want." He smiles weakly.
"That'd be great." I smile warmly at him.
"Can I ask with who though?"
I pause before telling him.
"Gerard."
"Come again?" he asks, confused.
"I said Gerard, as in the art teahcer."
"R-really?"
"Yes but please keep it a secret." I beg.
He nods and helps me gather my things.
"Pick you up at 8?" He asks once we're outside school.
"Seeya then." I smile and walk home.
When I get there I'm surprised to see Gerard not there, I ask mikey and find out he's working tour dates out with the record label, he had to head up to their building to speak with the officials.
"He said the dates were fine though." I say.
"I know but something came up and he had to delay a few dates by a week or so." Mikey replies while shooting a few enemy troopers in COD.
"Hmm." I get ready for my date with Oli after playing a few rounds of COD and Halo with Mikey. I throw on a pair of black skinnies, red converse, a navy sweater, and a white Panic! shirt. I hear a knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" I yell to mikey and run downstairs, opening the door to reveal a handsome oli. He's wearing a flannel shirt and black skinnies with white chucks.
"Ready to go?" he asks.
I nod and tell Mikey I'm off to the movies and he says have fun.
"Will do." I yell and lock the door before getting into Olis car and driving to the cinema.
We purchase our tickets for the movie and walk to the theater.
The previews are just starting.
Halfway through the movie oli said he had to take a piss so he got up but stumbled and fell right on his face.
"Are you okay?" I whisper alarmed.
"Yea." he brushes himself off but the movie screen light lets me see his blush. I feel really bad for him because its obvious he likes me and doesn't care im in a relationship, but hes condierate enough to realize that I'm gee's.
The movie finishes and I turn my phone back on.
7 missed calls and 12 texts from Gerard.
Fuck.
He probably thinks I'm missing again.
"Hey ol-"
"FLETCHER!" Gerard cries and comes flying towards me out of nowhere, his face stained with tears. He wraps me in a bear hug, lifting me off the ground, and kisses me hard, causing blush to arise in my cheeks.
"Gerard." I mumble.
"I thought- I lost you again." he sobs.
"I'm okay."
"You-didn't answer your phone." he hiccups.
"It was off." I pulls his hair behind his ear.
"Oh, who's that?" he asks angrily, pointing to Oli.
"Oli."
"We have to go." he takes my wrist.
"Stop Gerard, he knows."
"Oh." He blushes and extends his hand.
"Sorry bout that."
"No prob." Oli mutters.
"Thanks for the movie." I mutter sheepishly and wave before Gerard yanks me off with him.
Gerard's been so clingy ever since the accident, but oh well.
He's everything I could ever ask for, even with his quirks and imperfections, because that's what makes him complete.

Notes

I removed oli from the character list because he'll become more of a a major character in the sequel if I make one. btw sorry if my computer doesnt save the words i spell fixed. ily guys so much<3
The trip will be coming soon dont worry, I just didnt wan to have to do a chapter with a gigantic time laspe is all and I have other Ideas i need to delvelop into it.
