Struggling with more Ways than one

~Gerard's POV~
I sat outside the ER doors for what seemed like hours before the doctors hauled me away. I got to touch her, after all this time, I got to feel her again. I got to kiss her soft lips, I got to kiss her wounds. I got her.
But I don't have her.
I rest my head in my hands until someone taps me on the shoulder. I look up hoping it's Fletcher but it's another doctor.
"Do you know Fletcher Bores?" He asks.
I nod, "She's my girlfriend."
"We're going to have to keep here here for a week, so that she can regain the weight she lost. I also warn you that she's going to have to have, or should be highly persuaded to have therapy after what happened to her."
"What happened to her?" I ask, my heart aching to know what happened to my beloved.
"That' for her to tell you sir, now if you would like to see-"
"Hell yeah I would like to see her!" I exclaim in a mixed emotions of anger and glee.
We walk down the hall quickly, me rather running. I feel like a child on their way to an amusement park. When we get there I press myself up against the glass and Fletcher is just laying there in bed, her eyes are closed.
"Is she dead?" I ask, my voice cracking.
"She's just tired sir, she's had a long day."
He opens the door and I resist the urge to run and jump onto Fletcher. I walk over calmly and get down on my knees. I caress her cheek with my thumb.
She looks around in a panic, her blue eyes calming when they lay sight of me.
"Hey beautiful." I whisper and smile.
"GEE!" she sobs and wraps her frail arms around me, I climb into bed with her and let her sobs rack into my chest as I let my own tears fall. I rest my head on hers as I feel her tears soak into my shirt. I rub small circles on her back as she lets it all out.
"I missed you so much baby." she cries and she looks up to me.
"Missed doesn't even begin to define how I felt." I choke out as I put her gaunt face in my hands and my forehead to hers.
She presses my lips to hers and I kiss her slowly and softly, I had forgotten how spectacular this sensation is. She breaks the kiss and starts crying again, I stroke her hair and kiss her forehead lightly. Fletcher inhales sharply and then says something I've known since the first time I saw her.
"I love you."
"I love you will everything I've got, sugar."
"Aww Gee." she mumbles and pecks my lips. I smile and the doctor comes back into the room, to be honest I didn't know he left.
"Mr. Way it's time for you to leave."
"Please don't." Fletcher begs and clings to my arm.
"Don't worry babe, Ill sneak back in here after dark." I wink at her and kiss her before leaving the room and scouring around the hospital until dark. Luckily I'd stolen a pass from one of the doctors when I was here so I could get into the snack room and eat things I wasn't supposed to. I tiptoe back to Fletcher's room and unlock it. I snuggle into bed with her and she flinches but I kiss her neck and she untenses
"Hey babe." I say spooning her.
She sighs a sigh of relief.
"You came back."
"I could never leave you." I say wiping a tear from my eye.
I wrap my arm around her waist securey, protecting her from anymore hell that wants to harm her.
