Struggling with more Ways than one

~Gerard's POV~
~A few days later~
The final bell rings, dismissing my final class, and making Fletcher mine for another afternoon. I smile at her and she grins at me. She knows today is our music day, a day where we share with each other one album. Afterwards we talk about our favorite song and why. Fletcher started this a while back but lately I've been involved in it.
Fletcher and I have kept our distance from each other affection wise but other than that we're what we've always been. I've realized my feelings for her but I could never tell her that.
She starts walking towards me with CD's in hand as the remainder of the students file out to buses or whatnot.
"What cd's do we have today m'lady?" I ask as I hop onto my desk.
"Well Prince Gerard we have Black Veil Brides."
"Bitch Please, you know I'm the queen of sass." I say in a sassy tone and wave her off like a diva. She giggles and puts the cd in the layer and we wait in silence until the first songs which fletcher informs me is called I am Bulletproof.
We go through the whole album and I like it a lot so Fletcher gives me the cd I thank her.
"Do you want to go out for lunch tomorrow?" I ask her, hoping she says yes.
"That sounds perfect," she smiles her beautiful smile again.
"I thought you'd be up for it." I say as we leave school and our way out to my car. On the ride home Fletcher and I debate Converse or vans.
"Dude Vans stain easily." I laugh as I open the door to see a serious faced Mikey.
Sup bro?"
"We need to talk."
"Alright." I say putting my bags down and making sure Fletcher comes inside. I follow Mikey to his room and he sits on his bed and I can tell he's nervous about something.
"Gerard, promise me when I tell you this you still think of me the same way and you don't get mad or reject me." He pleads, on the verge of tears.
"Why would I not? I love you." I say giving him a hug. He smiles and says what's been on his mind.
"I'm... Gay."
I smile and grab him into another hug.
"Kinda figured with you naming the unicorn posters on your walls Macheso and Leonardo."
He blushes and whispers thank you.
"Thank you Gerard you have no idea how much it feels to be accepted." I feel a tear run down my cheek and I whisper. "I know that feeling." We break our hug and sit in silence for a while until I hear a blood curdling scream. I go to my first instinct.
Fletcher.
"FLETCHER!" I yell and rush downstairs to find her convulsing in a ball back and forth.
I get down on my knees and wrap myself around her telling her the flashback is gone, she's okay. I stroke her hair and hold her close to me until she stops convulsing.
"They-they were so vivid Gerard..." she mumbles.
"I know baby, I know." I shudder thinking back to my own night terrors.
"Gerard?" Fletcher says, her eyes pleading.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Of course." I kiss her forehead and we sit in silence just holding each other.
"Do you want to go to sleep?" I whisper, she nods and I pick her up and take her to my room and tuck her under the covers. I work on mys sketches for a while only to return to bed to fin a sleeping fletch. I lean down and whisper to her the words I thought I'd never speak, asleep or dead.
"I love you."
