Angels of Unknown
Chapter Two
Frank's POV
I push open the large entrance door and slowly will myself inside. The heavy door slam shut behind me, making me jump and leaving complete and utter darkness in it's wake. I feel along the wall mumbling to myself. "Shit shit shit shit. Where the fuck is the ligh-" I stop as my fingers brush across a thin switch, which I gladly lift. I gasp a loud at what I see as the room ignites in light.
Everything is beautiful. The entrance room has a giant chandelier and various expensive looking pieces of furniture. The left leads to a large, fancy dining room and to the right opens into a living-type-room with a large desk towards the back with, is that keys behind it?
I walk to my right and look closely at the polished desk. I gently drag my fingers across it and admire the intricate swirls of dark and light wood. It's almost hard not to get lost in the polished oak.
"We used to rent it out." I nearly shit myself when I hear the voice behind me. I turn around and freeze at the pale figure standing maybe five feet away from me. He looks almost too perfect, like he's a painting and not a young man, Dark circles rim his eyes while beautiful black hair falls around his face. He doesn't look like someone who would own a mansion. He looks more like the ghost of some beautiful, poet long forgotten.
He wakes me up from my state, by speaking again. "Yah it used to be more of a hotel than a home, but we're no longer taking in guests so if you could just go." He speaks with mock confidence, I can see genuine fear hiding behind his eyes. He gestures towards the door awkwardly, but doesn't move,
"Uh, so you live here by yourself?" I don't know why I ask. I just don't want to leave, not yet.
"I said we're no longer taking guests, so if you could leave. . " I see that the young man is shaking as I take a step in his direction. He still doesn't move, like he's frozen in place. I don't want him to be afraid of me.
"My name is-"
"STOP!" The man begins to scream as I try to introduce myself and puts his head in his hands.
"Wait?! Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you!" I close the distance between us, and I don't know why, but I feel deep down inside the need to embrace him. So I do. As soon as my arms wrap around him, all goes silent. I pull back to look at him, and I drown in his piercing eyes.
Gerard's POV
He's real? I can't believe it. I thought . . . I thought he was just another one of my delusions. An unbearably perfect delusion.
He stares into my eyes, his arms wrapped around my shoulders, just gaping at me. Like he just found out I was real as well.
"My name is Frank." He's almost inaudibly quiet despite the silence in the room.
"My name is Gerard." I don't know how he got in here or why, but he's real and I don't want him to leave.
