(Kara's POV)
I woke up to Mikey and Gerard's laughing. "What are you two up to?" I asked, smiling. Mikey giggled, "Nothing. I promise. Gee just told me this-- um-- joke." I looked at him the way a mom looks at her misbehaving three year old. "What joke is it?" I asked. Mikey blushed. "What do you call a lesbian dinosaur?" Gee called. I thought for a second but couldn't come up with anything. "Licka--" he started before Mikey smacked his hand over Gerard's mouth. I'll take that as a sign that I really don't wanna know.
My stomach growled. "Oh! We have Poptarts if you want some." Mikey said and I pretended to think about it. "What kind?" His eyes lit up and he squeaked, "Brown Sugar!" I smiled. He was adorable. "Okay." I barely had time to say before my phone rang. Jack must've changed the tone to Ring Ding Dong by SHINee again.

"KARA!"
"Hi...?"
"Are you okay?!"
"Wait, who is this?"

The voice calmed down.

"Oh, it's me, Connor. Where are you? Jade came over this morning and Jay is back and I was worried about you."
"Oh, well I'm okay. I stayed with the Ways last night. Thank you for worrying about me, though. I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys where I was."

I felt guilty that I'd made him, Jack, and Jade concerned for me.

"Okay, just don't get into trouble. And you shouldn't go back to the house, I think he's still there."
"Okay, I'll see you at Frank's later. I'll just stay with the Ways for the rest of the day."
"Okay. Bye, Kara."
"Bye."

Mikey walked in with a plate and glass of milk. "Here are your PopTarts. Who was that? They've been calling you a lot." I hit him on the arm. "It was Connor! Why didn't you wake me up when he called me the first time?" He blushed, "Oh. Well, you just looked so happy sleeping and I didn't wanna wake you up. I didn't know if it was urgent or anything because he would wait a while between calls and after a while he stopped." I rested my head on his shoulder. "Thanks for letting me stay here, anyway, Mikes." He hugged me, "No problem." before getting up and stretching. "So, is there anything you have to do for the party today? We have a few hours." I clapped my hands together. I had left my hair dye in the bathroom at the house, but luckily I had some money on me. "Can you take me to the mall?" He blinked a couple times before nodding and grabbing his coat. "Okay, let's go." he said as he grabbed Gee's keys off the hook. I followed him out the door as he called in to let Gee know where we were going.
We both hopped in the car and he cranked up the heater all the way before playing Coffee's for Closers by Fall Out Boy super loud. We went in to a few different stores to look for anything that would work and settled on this lacy black tank top thing and ripped up pink jeans. Mikey said he had a purple jacket that's kinda like hers that I could wear. We also got gloves with the fingers cut off and he dropped me off at the hair salon (where I got my hair --minus the bangs-- chopped off and dyed pink) while he went to go get coffee. That boy really does have an addiction.
By the time the lady cut off most of my once long, blonde hair, I couldn't stop clawing at it and grasping it. I ruffled my hair several times and even head-banged. I felt do much lighter. Although I did still have my fringe to the side. When Mikey came back to get me, he was shocked. "I knew exactly what she was going to do to your hair but-- wow! You look so... different. I like it!" he ruffled my hair. For some reason, I realized how tall he was right then. He towered over me! He was even taller than Gerard, and Gerard was 18. I laughed, "What are you going to be, anyway?" He put his free hand in his pocket. "Oh, Jack wants it to be a surprise." I was confused and was going to say something but decided against it. "Okay." I smiled, "Let's go home."

(Jade's POV)
Luckily, Jay had left shortly after I did, so I was able to get my Yuna costume from the house. I put on the dress and attached her braid to my hair before looking at myself in the mirror. Oh yeah! I almost forgot to put in contacts. She has one blue eye and one green eye, so I had to get them. I was finally ready to go to Frank's birthday. I came out of the bathroom at Jack's house and looked around. The boys were waiting on the couch and Connor had some kind of white button-down with a blue and grey striped tie and the Hogwarts symbol on the shirt. So obviously a Ravenclaw. Jack had a long beard and a grey robe with a wizard's hat, obviously Dumbledore. I resisted the urge to laugh.
"Can we go now?" Jack sat up and clapped before all of us grabbed our coats and went to the car.

When we got to the house, Frank opened the door and I could see he had the same shirt as Connor, just with a black and yellow Hufflepuff tie. I had a feeling most-- if not all-- the boys were going to be Hogwarts students. Well, when we walked in I saw Ray as Pacman so apparently not all of them were participating. But then, Mikey, Kara, and Gerard walked in and I saw that Gerard was a Slytherin and Mikey was a Gryffindor. Kara had gotten her hair cut and dyed since she was Ramona Flowers and she looked great. I sat next to Ray. "Did you know Pacman was originally called--" I cut him off, laughing. "Ray, we saw it together. It also happens to be my favorite movie. Is that really why you dressed up as Pacman?" He nodded. "Heh, you and Kara match, then." He laughed. "I'm actually quite pleased with all of our costumes. What are you supposed to be, though?" I looked at myself. "Oh, I'm Yuna from Final Fantasy X." "Ahhh, a gamergirl, I see." he replied. I shrugged and smiled as I got up to get a drink. Frank squealed in excitement as he looked at his stack of presents.
"I love you guys." He said, trying to conceal his giant grin. "You wanna just open presents, eat, and go Trick or Treating?" Gerard suggested. All of us agreed and Frank sat on the floor with all his presents. First, he opened Jack's (upon Jack's insistence) and clutched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre shirt to his chest, expressing his immense gratitude. Then, he opened Mikey's and did the same thing. He did this with pretty much all the presents and almost ran to the bathroom to try on the panties Ray got him, but we all yelled our protests and forced him to sit back down. After we opened gifts and stuffed ourselves with Hawaiian pizza, Frank gave all of us pillow cases and we ran up and down the streets like little kids, asking for candy. There were a few people who got mad and told us we were too old to go trick-or-treating and refused to give us candy. So much for enjoying yourself on a holiday, geez.
But all my friends were so happy and Ray kept pulling pranks on Mikey all night, to where it became kind of a running gag. I've only known these boys for a month, but it feels like I grew up with them.
I love my friends.
