Fifty Shades of Way

***Ivy's POV***

Second day of school was just as rough. Still no new friends, and I ended up eating in the bathroom again. Luckily, I didn't have chemistry today, so I wouldn't have to worry about being questioned by Mr.Way. I waited by my locker for the bell to ring. I just needed to get home.

"Hi! You're new here, right? My names Jackie, and I was wondering if you needed anyone to show you around?"

"Uhm o-okay." I avoided eye contact.

"So how do you like it here so far?"

"It's nice." I lied.

"Good, I'm glad you like it." she smiled. "So where did you go before this?"

"I was home schooled ." I lied again. I hate talking about my old school. Even mentioning the name makes me want to punch a hole in the wall.

"Oh, that's interesting." the bell rung. Thank god.

"I gotta go, sorry." I walked off.

"Ivy! I've been looking all over for you." A familiar voice said behind me. I turned around, and saw Mr. Way waving me down. I sighed. "I wanted to tell you about my extra help sessions. You said you didn't understand the lesson, so I figured I would help you out a bit. I have extra help everyday before school. I'd really appreciate it if you came." he smiled at me. Fuck. Why did I have to tell him I didn't understand it. My fucking luck. I quietly sighed to myself. I'd feel bad if I turned him down, so I nodded.

"Alright, great! So I'll see you tomorrow morning?"

"Yeah, sure." I gave him a weak smile, and headed home."

****Next morning****

I woke up an hour and a half earlier than I usually do. Fuck extra help. I let my alarm ring until I couldn't take it anymore. I slammed my hand on the stop button, and dragged myself out of bed. I threw on a Pierce the Veil T-shirt, blue skinny jeans, and converse. I brushed my teeth, and ran a comb through my knotted hair. I still look like shit, but whatever. I grabbed my messenger bag, and headed out the door.

"Good morning, Ivy. Again, thanks for coming this morning. I didn't want you being lost in class or anything." I was the only one there. Fuck. He began opening up his book, but his eyes slowly trailed down to my wrists, which were home to many burn scars. I quickly rolled down my sleeve, and sunk into my seat.

"Ivy..." he whispered

"I'm sorry, but I have to go." I tried running out, but he caught me by my sleeve. I sighed in defeat.

"Ivy, please stop running away from me. I'm only trying to help you." I could see the sadness in his eyes. Why did he care so much? He only met me two days ago.

"Mr. Way I-"

"Please, call me Gerard. Mr. Way makes me feel old." he chuckled. Although, it made me feel uncomfortable calling him by his first name, I did as I was asked.

"Gerard, what you saw on my wrist.. Those are old. I haven't done that in years, so please, just don't question me about it." I avoided eye contact.

"You promise?"

"Y-Yes."

"Good" he patted my back. "If you ever need to talk though, I'm here. Literally, I'm here. I'm always in this classroom, so you know where to find me." he laughed at his own joke. It was corny, but I slightly chuckled with him.

The bell rang for homeroom. Jeez, that went quick. I could see the frustration in his eyes, since we pretty much wasted my whole "extra help" session on talking about my problems.

"Ah, well. Since we didn't get much work done, I would like you to meet me here at the same time tomorrow." he sighed. I nodded my head, and headed off to homeroom.
