Fifty Shades of Way

***Ivy's POV***

We walked back into his house, and Gerard immediately placed himself on the couch, burying his face in the pillow. I sighed, and walked over to him, running my fingers through his tangled heap of hair. He looked up at me, flashing me a warm smile, before stuffing his face back into the pillow.

"You wanna listen to that album now?" I leaned my face down to his level.

"Not now. Why don't you go hang out at the mall or do homework or something. You can come back later if you still want to. I just need some time alone." his voice was muffled, since he hadn't removed it from the pillow.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. Go have fun. I only need an hour." I sighed, and lightly kissed his cheek.

"I'll be back in an hour then. Call if you need anything." he nodded, and I headed out the door, getting into my car. I opened my bookbag, and looked for my planner. Good. No homework. I smiled, and stuffed the planner back into my bookbag, and drove off to the mall. I could use a new outfit anyway.

The mall was crowed with people, as usual. What else is new? I looked through the store windows, and saw people pushing, and shoving just to get to the sale rack. I rolled my eyes and continued walking, avoiding contact with other shoppers.

I headed down the escalator, and into the food court. Considering I haven't eaten all day, I was pretty hungry. I stood in the middle of the court, and looked around at the selections of fast food stands. Once I spotted a Taco Bell, I quickly headed in that direction, and got in the semi-long line.

"Ivy?" someone said from behind me. I quickly whipped my head around, seeing it was Jackie.

"Oh, uh, hi." I waved

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm okay. You?" I said, barley over a whisper.

"I'm fine. Look, uh, I'm here with a couple friends from school, and we saw you earlier. We were wondering if you wanna hang with us?" she smiled. My eyes widened, and I just stared, processing her words. This is the first time in, god knows how long, someone's asked me to hang out with them. "I-Ivy? Uh, are you okay?" she waved a hand in front of my face.

"Uhm, yeah. Yeah, I-I'm fine."

"So is that a yes?"

"Uh, yeah sure. But I, uh. I have to leave in an hour."

"Oh, sure, that's fine. It's just that when we saw you, we saw you were alone, so we felt pretty shitty."

"Oh. No, don't feel bad. I was fine." I whispered. She flashed me a sorrowful smile, which I soon returned, before turning around, seeing I was at the front of the line.

"Miss, what can I get for you?" the cashier asked. I ordered my food, and payed. Jackie soon did the same.

"We're sitting over there." she said pointing to my right. I nodded, and slowly walked in that direction.

"Hey, Ivy, right?" a guy at their table asked, waving enthusiastically.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"I've seen you around the school a lot. I think we're in like all the same classes." one of the girls giggled. I recognized her. I think I sit in front of her in English.

"You're friends with Jackie, right?" another girl asked

"I-I guess." I whispered.

"Don't be so shy, Ivy. We don't judge, I promise. Anyways, I don't think we introduced ourselves. I'm Dillon, this is my girlfriend, Audrey, Mia, Jackie's boyfriend, Max, and Lea." they all smiled and waved.

"I love your shirt." Audrey said, pointing to my Green Day T-shirt.

"You like them?" I beamed

"Duh." she said. I like these guys already. I took a seat next to Lea, and Jackie came back with her plate of food.

The seven of us sat around the table, laughing at each other's jokes about school. I felt close to these guys already. They were really sweet. They even involved me in all their conversations, making sure I wasn't the odd one out.

"I for one, want to do more shopping." Mia announced. We all nodded in agreement, threw out our trash, and headed back upstairs to continue shopping. Mia, Lea, Jackie, Audrey, and I started trying on fancy dresses, taking pictures in them. I couldn't stop laughing at how stupid I looked in a dress. We tried on countless dresses, laughing hysterically at each one. That is, until the manager had to come, and kick us out, for 'disturbing customers'. We left the store giggling at all the pictures we took of each other. I took my phone out, still giggling, and checked the time. I've been out for almost two hours. I rolled my eyes, and sighed, stuffing my phone back into my pocket. Gerard can wait.
