Aww Pickles, My Neighbor is A Hottie

***Mikey's POV***

I ran out of that house and straight to my car. I had to go tell Iris that Gerard was cheating on her. She didn't deserve him. She didn't deserve the tears that he put her through. I drove off as soon as the car started. As soon as I drove off I heard Gerard screaming, but I ignored him. He was just going to hurt more people if I didn't warn them. Then I started getting phone calls from Gerard. I shut my phone off. Remember Gerard, no phones on the road? I drove straight towards Iris' apartment.

"Iris open up!" I knocked on the door. She opened up almost immediately. She had been crying. Her eyes were puffy and her lip was still quivering. I embraced her and she cried into my shirt. I think the news got to her before I had. I wanted to tell her though. I wanted her to not care and love me instead. The only problem with that was she didn't love me. She loved Gerard just like I wanted her too.

"It will be alright," I rubbed her head lightly and kissed it. She kept crying into my shirt. I pulled away and lowered myself so we were the same height.

"Listen Iris you are beautiful. You have a great personality and there are plenty of other fish in the sea." I tried to lighten the mood.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Her voice was all shakey. I rose an eyebrow having no idea what she was talking about.

"Excuse me?" I stood back up. She was a short girl, but it was cute.

"Why didn't you tell me you liked me? I like you too Mikey. I dated Gerard to get you jealous. Then I started getting feelings for him, but they were never as strong as my feelings for you." She looked at me with huge puppy eyes. I could feel my heart break. She loved me? She dated Gerard to get me jealous? I leaned down and kissed her and damn it felt goddamn good.

***Gerard's POV***

Mikey ran or drove off. I sighed after realizing he wasn't coming back. There was one last thing I could do. Call Iris. I could tell her the truth so Mikey couldn't take away my pride. I know it sounds weird, but I think it will be the best choice. I grabbed my cell and called Iris. One ring. Two rings.

"Gerard?" Iris had a low mummer and sounded like she was crying.

"Look I know you will hate me, but I cheated on you. I know I should tell you in person, but I can't. Mikey is on his way and he is going to hold you close because he loves you. He loves you more than I ever will because I already have a family here. I love you though. I really do and you still mean something to me. All the things I told you weren't fake. I do love you and you are beautiful, but you aren't the one for me." I sighed. Iris started to cry over the phone. I could feel my heart break at the sound of it.

"I'm sorry." I hung up.
