I am afraid to keep on living

(Cassie's pov)

I went out of Mikey’s room and went to Gerard’s. I came into the room and closed the door. I layed down on the bed thinking. Why did Gerard say that? He said that he likes and then that we couldn’t be, that is cruel. I hope MIkey changes something by talking with him. He is a very nice friend.

Some minutes later someone knocked at the door. “Yeah?” I said and Mikey went inside. “Cassie…” He muttered. “How did it go?” I asked fearing the answer. “I’m sorry… He loves you but I think the problem is that he is scared that someone would find out…” He explained with a sad look on his face. I didn’t say anything, I didn’t know what to answer to that. “Sorry.” Mikey whispered and went out of the room closing the door.

Like one minute later, someone knocked at the door again. Was it Mikey again? “Yeah?” I asked and the door opened. It was Gerard. “Erm… the sofa is broken and Mikey doesn’t let me go with him… can I sleep here?” He asked. Really? After what he said? How could he act like anything happened? “No.” I said without even looking at him. “But it’s my bed.” Fuck, that was true. “But you told me that I could sleep here.” “And where do I sleep now?” He asked.”You can sleep on the floor.” I said. “Okay.” He took the blankets I had and also the pillow, he put them on the floor of the room and layed there.

“I was using that!” He looked me from the floor. “Really?” He said in a sassy tone. I jumped of the bed and took the blankets. He grabbed the blanket from the opposite side I was holding it and pull it back to him making me fall down. He took advantage of me being on the floor and he jumped on the bed. “Now the bed is mine again.” He said.

I grabbed him by the arm causing him to fall down from the bed and he hit his head on the floor making me laugh. “Don’t laugh it is not funny.” He said laughing too and pulled of my foot causing me to fall down too.

Suddenly someone knocked at the door… again. Why is everybody knocking at the door today? Mikey came inside the room and looked at us sitting on the floor next to a pillow and the blankets. “Guys… I don’t know what are you doing, but could you be a little bit less noisy? I’m trying to sleep.”

“Okay little brother, we would be in silence, now sleep nicely little baby boy.” Gerard said like he was speaking to a baby and threw a pillow to Mikey’s face. Gerard and I laughed. Mkey sighed and went out of the room closing the door behind him.

When Mikey was out, I stood up quickly and ran to get on the bed. Gerard pulled me back to the floor grabbing me by the leg and with that he was the one who ran to the bed grabbing the blankets and the pillow. Then he layed there smiling with his victory. It was the first time I saw him acting like a little child, he is so cute…
He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me to the bed laying me next to him. “It’s getting late, I think is time to sleep.” He said and I cuddled with him. Then he turned off the light using the switch that was next to the bed.

“Cassie…” He whispered. “Hm?” He pulled me close to him and whispered in my ear: “Would you be my girl?”
