“Cassie… wake up.” I opened my eyes and saw Dean sitting on me. “I’m horny, babe. Let’s have some fun.” He said smirking. “I don’t want to. Plus, it’s my first day of school, I have to get ready.” He looked at me angry. “You’re living at my house because your parents hate you and I’m the only one that loves you. So you are going to do whatever I tell you to do.” He pulled of my pants and my underwear. He put on a condom and got inside me. I started crying because it hurt a lot. “Stop crying.” I did what he said, dying inside.

“Now dress up and go to your fucking school.” He said when he finished and went out of the room. I took my razors from my drawer. One cut, two cuts, three cuts, more cuts. My parents don’t love me, Dean doesn’t love me, nobody loves me. Maybe I wasn’t made to be loved. I dressed up and started my way to school. My first class was art, fuck, I suck at arts.

I got to school and locked inside the toilet, hoping nobody saw me getting in there. The bell rang and I stayed there. Like then minutes later someone knocked at the door. “Cassie, I saw you getting in there before, are you okay?” It was Jazmin. “Go away.” “Come on, Cassie. The teacher is waiting for you.” “I don’t care.” “Please, come out… you would like the new teacher, he’s hot.” Is she crazy?! It’s a teacher! “Fuck, Jaz. It’s a teacher, don’t say that.” “But he’s young…” “But he’s a teacher.” “Look, I’m just trying to get you out of there.” I knew she wouldn’t go without me, so I went out. She looked at me and said: “We will talk about this later.”

We came into the class and everybody looked at me. “What were you doing?” The teacher asked me angrily while Jazmin sat next to Ruby Lee. He was young as Jazmin said, but I didn’t think he was hot. He had pale skin, black hair and hazel eyes, nothing interesting. “I was in the toilet, I’m sick.” “Okay, I will be your art teacher this year, call me Gerard. Now take a sit.” I looked around the class and saw that the only seat left was next to a new student. I sat next to him and he smiled at me. “Hey, my name is Mikey.” He said. “Mine Cassie.”

“Like I was saying before, you are going to do a work in pairs. It consists on telling a story only using drawings.” Gerard said. Mikey looked at me. “We can think about the story now and if you want, you can come later to my house and we will draw it there.” If I go to Mike’s house I will spend less time in Dean’s house. “Sounds good.” Mikey went to the toilet and I started to think about the story when I realized that my scars where showing, I quickly covered them hoping that nobody has seen them. Gerard walked towards my table and asked me whispering: “What’s that on your wrist?” Fuck! He saw them! “Nothing.” “Why did you do that to yourself?” “You don’t need to know anything about my life, so don’t tell anybody what you saw and go away.” He looked disappointed and turned away.

All the classes finished and I started to search for Mikey when Alice grabbed my arm. “Cassie.” She said. “What?” “Kindle is searching for you.” “What does she want?” “I don’t know.” Any way I started searching for her, maybe she needed help or something. I always try to help her because she’s Dean’s sister and I felt bad about that, I couldn’t imagine living an entire life with that monster.

“Hey, Alice told me that you were searching for me.” “Yeah… well, I’m sorry, erm… Dean called me saying that you have your phone off and he wants you now in our house.” “Tell him I will go later, now I’m going to Mikey’s house.” She looked scared. “But if I tell him that, he would kill me.” “If he hurts you, why don’t you call the police?” “He abuse from you, why don’t you call the police?” She said imitating me. But she was right… “Because of the same reason as you, I’m scared.”
