“WHAT THE FUCK.” Is all I can say at this point.
“WHERE THE HELL DID YOU EVEN GET THIS FROM?” I scream at him pointing to the square plate with six lines of cocaine.
“SHURDDUP! GAWD YOU SOUND LIKE MY MOM!” He screams as he shoves his bead into a pillow on the couch. I know my dad fucks up a lot but he never went as low as to go to friggin’ CRACK. He continues to groan like a teenager while I move the plate into the kitchen. When I get back to the couch, he just stares at me with those dilated eyes of his.
“What?” I ask, still standing up.
He then stands up in front of me and does something he has never done before. He grabs my hand and shoves it down his boxers, making me have to jack him off.
“WHAT THE FUCK!! LET GO OF ME YOU SICK FUCK!! GAHH!” I scream over and over. He just makes the most disgusting grunts and moans while moving my hand. Ever so slowly, I manage to move my hand and sink my long, sharp nails into his organ. He then lets out the highest pitch I’ve ever heard in my life and shouts,
“OKAY!! OKAY! I’M SORRY!!” He falls on to the ground after I let him go.
Wait a minute… What was that? He, the man who tormented me my entire life and killed my little brother, said ‘sorry’?
“Hel-help me u-up?” He says quietly. I look at him in disbelief for a moment. Is he serious? HE wants help? I finally decide to help him up and drag him to his bedroom. For an alcoholic, he keeps his room in pretty god shape .I lay him on his bed, tuck him in, and am about to leave when he says,
“Will you sing to me…? Until I fall asleep?” He says with the most innocent eyes he’s ever had. A 30 year-old asking a 14 year-old to sing him to sleep? That cocaine must of hit him pretty hard.
“PLLLEEEEAAASSEEEE?” He interrupts my thinking. To shut him up, I had to agree.
“What do you want me to sing to you?” I ask softly.
“Baby mine.” He says like a little kid.
“Are you serious!?!” I say.
“MEEEHHHH! YOU ASKED AND I ANSWERED!!” He whines.
“Uhggggh…Fine

I can see that his eyelids seem heavy to him and he says’
“Your voice calms me down.”
“Thanks.” I say back
“Your voice is beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise honey>” He says as he fall asleep. I just sit there in shock. Beautiful voice? Honey? Complement? What are this? After 14 years, I finally get my first complement. When he’s on coke. The only way I would ever get a complement from him. I gently push him off my lap and quietly leave back upstairs. As I crawl back into bed, I get a warm, fuzzy feeling that I only felt when I saw that kid at the comic book store. I’d like to feel that more often.
