The drive back to Safe Haven took forever. All I wanted to do was hug my baby girl, it had been 2 weeks since I had last seen her. As soon was the car stopped, Party ran at full sped to the nursery, where Kenzie was, leaving me in the back seat of the car.

"Thanks.." I mumbled as I walked in after him.

When I had caught up to him he was hugging her tightly to him, stroking her hair. She was leaning over his shoulder, as soon as she saw me she started to wave her arms and saying 'momma!'. I smiled and took her out of Party's arms and hugged her tight.

"Aw my baby! I missed you." I said to her. Party smiled at us and pulled us into a big hug.

"This is how it should be, me and my girls." He said and kissed my head then Kenzie's. Not long after, he took Kenzie and hugged her again.

"I think we should tell Dr.D about the plants now." I told him, he stopped kissing Kenzie and looked at me a little pissed.

"We just got back from being away from our daughter for 2 week from work, and now you wanna go back into it?"

"It's not work, its a war. Where people are losing their life's, Kenzie can join us." I said getting defensive.

"That's not the point, I want to spend time together as a family." He argued raising his voice at me. Kenzie was staring at the both us us, being very quite.

"And we can do that later, I think this is a bit more important." I said matching his voice.

"Why is everything about-" He was cut off by Mackenzie crying between us.

"Nice job." I said sarcastically at him as I took her into my arms, she cried every time we raised our voices at each other, which was staring to turn into a lot whenever we were at Safe Haven.

I turned away from him, not waiting for a responce, and headed down to Dr.D's office. Kenzie had stopped crying now and proceeded with drooling on my shirt. I could hear Party's foot steps behind me. When we got to Dr.D's office, I walked in without knocking. Dr.D looked up at me and smiled at me as I look a seat with Kenzie on my lap.

"Blue! Party! It's great to see you." He said smiling, I gave him a small smile back.

"We have some new's." I said and told him the whole story of what happened in Battery City and what we think was going on.

"Hmm. You may be right, I'm surprised no one has noticed this before. Well of course I'm gonna offer the Fabulous Killjoys the job to identify and shut down these plants."

"Of course-" I was cut off.

"We decline." Party interrupted at stared at Dr.D and not me, Dr.D looked between us for a minute.

"Are you sure you don't wanna talk to your team first?" Dr.D asked.

"Yes." He said getting up, taking Kenzie from me, then walking out.
