To The End

"You okay Mikes?" Gerard asked.

"I'm fine, I just really wanna see him, before he might die." Mikey said almost crying at the thought.

"Mikey." Gerard said very softly then climbed on his bed with him and held him close, "Everything is gonna be just fine, he'll be healthy and in your arms before you know it." Gee said smiling, which also made Mikey smile.

"I chose a name." He informed Gerard.

"Really? What is it?"

"Gerard Lucas Way."

"That means a lot to me, thank you Mikey." he said giving his younger brother another hug.

"I'm gonna call him Lucas though, so no one gets confused. I really wanna see him." He said again.

Gerard gave me a look that said, 'go find out' and I nodded and left them alone and went to find someone to talk to. I didn't really know who I should talk to so I decided to make my way back to the baby ICU and talk to his doctor.

"Excuse me?" I said when I finally found a doctor.

"How may I help you?"

"Uh, the baby that was just born to Mikey Way, when would he be allowed to see his dad, like when can he hold him and stuff?" I asked.

"The baby can't be held right now, unless its by a doctor or someone trained to hold a baby born so early. He will be able to be held in about 2 or 3 weeks though, and as for when the dad may hold him, that depends on him."

"How?"

"The baby hasn't really developed a immune system yet, and because he had a C-section, he might have caught an infection, but we won;t know for a while. To stay on the safe side, we are gonna wait until he fully heals before he holds his son."

"And do you know how long that will be?" I asked.

"Depends, we never know for sure. Is that all?" He asked me.

"No, uh, Mikey chose a name for the baby." I informed him.

"Oh good," He reached over to a clipboard and handed it to me, "This is his birth certificate, if you could fill it out and give it back to someone by the end of the day that would be great. Have a nice day." He said and walked away.

I took the papers and made my way over to Mikey's room where they were talking about weird shit. I told him about the papers and he said I could fill them out since I knew everything. It was pretty easy.
