To The End

I ran behind the doctor that took Mikey's baby, the baby ICU wasn't very far away from operating room. Once he was in the doctor started to pull out a tube, I turned away. I couldn't look at them doing that to a helpless baby. I waited a few minutes before I turned back to him, the blue had gone away and he was pink like a normal baby should be. He as so tiny, he was half the size of a regular baby, the doctors put him in a incubator so no one could touch him. He had tubes coming from his mouth and nose, he looked so small and helpless, he didn't even have a name yet.

"Doctor?" I asked and he looked at me, "What happened to his father?"

"The umbilical cord ruptured. The baby couldn't breath, that's why he was blue when we got to him."

"Is the baby gonna be okay?" I asked looking at the small baby again.

"Babies born this early have a small survival rate, were gonna keep him here until he can breathe on his own, and weights at least 6 pounds."

"How much does he weigh now?"

"3.6 pounds."

I gasped at how tiny he was.

"Miss. Frost, I understand you are not a relative to the baby." He continued.

I nodded.

"Sadly you can't be here, family only for the baby."

"Please just let me stay until his uncle, my mate, comes. Mikey doesn't want his baby to be alone." I begged.

He nodded and left, I sat down looking at the small baby. I saw his chart and it said he was a fertile. I gave a small smile knowing what the baby was. Soon I heard footsteps coming and I looked up and saw Gerard coming in, I thought he would be mad at me for leaving Mikey alone so I got up from the chair I was sitting in and walked over to him.

"Gee Mikey asked me to stay with the baby, I would have-" I started but he cut me off and pulled me into a bone crushing hug. I hugged him back.

"I know, MIkey told me." He said into my neck. I pulled away and pecked his lips.

"Where is he?" He asked.

I turned around to walk over to him, Gee followed me and when we stopped at his incubator Gerard stood behind me and grabbed me by the hips and pulled me close to him.

"Oh my god." He said, "He's so small. How big is he?"

"3.6 pounds, and there gonna keep him here till hes at least 6 pounds and he can breathe on his own." I explained.

"Wow," He said and walked closer to the baby and leaned in as close as he could. "Hi there, I'm your uncle, and when your big enough, your daddy and you will come to my house and live with me and your aunt." He looked at me and smiled then looked back to the baby, "I know you haven't formally met you dad yet but he's a great guy, he my little brother and I love him so much, I know I just met you, but I love you to." He told the baby, I smiled at hoe Gee was talking to him. Gerard was still talking to him when the same doctor who talked to me earlier came in.

"Is he the uncle?" He asked me.

I nodded.

"I'm sorry but I must ask you to leave." He told me.

"What? Why does she have to leave?" Gee said getting kinda defensive and holding my hand.

"I'm not a relative, it's okay Gee." I told him and kissed his cheek. "I'm gonna go with Mikey, stay with the baby." I told him and kissed his lips on more time before leaving.

I made my way to Mikey's room and I found him laying on the bed with a deflated stomach, he was looking out the window and I saw tears on his face. I knocked on the door and he looked at me, his eyes widened and more tears came down his face. I ran over to him and sat on the edge of his bed and pulled him into a hug and he cried into my side.

"H-how is h-he?" He asked.

"Good, so far he's good." I told him, Mikey didn't look convinced.

"I found out he's a fertile." I told him in hopes it would make him feel better.

"Really?" He asked.

"Yeah." I kissed the side of his head.

"C-can I see him?" He asked.

"I don't know, you have to asked the doctors that."

"Tell me about him." He told him.

"He's 3.6 pounds, a fertile and he doesn't have a name yet."

"I haven't even thought about a name yet."

"Well, he needs one, start now." I told him.

"Hmmm, I like Lucas." He said.

"Lucas Way, will he have a middle name?" I asked.

"No, Lucas is the middle name."

"Whats his 1st name?"

"Gerard, Gerard Lucas Way, I'll call him Lucas as a nickname."

"Aww, Gee is gonna love that." I said and he smiled.

"Mikey, honey are you okay?!" A vampire yelled and came running with another vampire on his side. I got up so they could sit next to him.

"Dad, Daddy." Mikey said and hugged them both.

One of them looked to me.

"And who are you?" He asked kinda harshly.

"I'm Alex, Gerard's mate." I told him
