Vampires Will Never Hurt You

We're barely two feet away from the door when Mikey tugs on my hand and pulls me into the allyway next to the blood bank. He leads me to the back and lets me go. "Mikey what are you doing?" I ask him. "Why do you keep lying to everyone?" I don't answer. I know very well why I lied about going with him but about my power? Why did I lie about that? "Lexi?" I look up at Mikey "I don't know" I whisper. Mikey unconvinced. I can't believe I'm going to do this.
"Fine this is why" I say before standing up on my toes and pressing my lips against his. A second later I pull away and see his normal pokerface replaced by a surprised expression. Uh oh. "Shit no, I shouldn't have done that" I exclaim "I'm so fucking sorry, I-" I don't get to finish. Kinda hard to when someone's kissing you. Yeah that happened.
Mikey leans down and kisses me and even in my shocked state I kiss him back. After an while we pull back gasping for air. "What the hell was that?" I ask. "Something I've wanted to do for about two months" Mikey answers smiling. "How could you want to kiss me or even like me? I'm fat and ugly and a bitch and-" "No you're not Lexi" Mikey cuts me off "Why would you ever think that?" "Because that's what people would always tell me" I mumble. "Well fuck them, they're wrong." he exclaims. I smile and laugh. "Thanks" Mikey kisses me on the cheek. "You're beatiful" he whispers in my ear "Don't forget that" I nod and he steps away.
"Come on let's get back to the house" Mikey says grabbing the bags of blood from the ground. We walk next to each other back to the woods. "So um are we together now?" Like Gerard and Frank" I ask cautiously "No definetly not" Mikey exclaims much to my disappointment. "What I mean is that, they fuck each other everytime thry're home alone" O.o "So they're-" "Yep" "Right now?" "Probably" Ew. I did not need to know that. "And since I haven't done anything remotly sexual in the past like 15 years and I don't even know about you so not yet." I nod agreeing with him. By now we were back in the woods.
"So as to why you didn't tell us about your powers?" Mikey probes. Aw shiet. "I don't know. I guess I didn't want you guys feeling like I was in your business all the time since I could sense your emotions" I blurt out. Eh works for me. "So that's what it is, you can sense emotions." I nod. "So what am I feeling right now?" he asks. I let myself feel his emotions. "Happy and slightly amused" I answer.
Mikey grabs my arm stopping me. "What?" I ask. "Nothing, I just thought maybe we could go swimming." He offers. I look down at the pond he had stopped in front of. "You want to go swimming in a waist deep pont that's half frozen over?" Mikey rolls his eyes. "I do it all the time Lexi, don't worry. It's not like we'll get hypothermia" "But-" I of course don't get to finish as Mikey jumps into the small pool of water, taking me down with him.
My head is under water for a moment for a moment then I come up laughing, "You ass" I say. He splashes water at me. "Rude" he says. I splash water back at him but he's suddenly not there. I look around and find him ten feet off the ground in a tree. "You wanna splash me you gotta catch me first" He says grinning. I pull myself out of the pond. "What the fuck is ths, tag?" I yell. Mikey nods and jumps down from the branch. "And you're it" he cries turn around and dashing off into the trees.
"MIKEY" I yell running after him giggling. I know in about three seconds that I've lost him. Well shit. I keep running anyway, we'll find each other eventually.
The trees are just blurs; I can't really make anything out. I guess that's why I missed the trip wire. I collide with the ground hard and let out a cry of surprise and pain. My lower calves burned. I reach my hand back and grab the wire. Almost immediatly I hiss and drop it. It burned bad. I look at the palm of my had and see the skin had turned bright red where the wire had touched. Da fuck?
I hear the leaves rustle in front of me. I look up and see a familiar person standing in front of me. "Ray?"

RAY'S BACK. Wow two Mikey love things in one day. Yeah like I thought this chapter was good until the pond scene that was just ew. I'm so sorry you ha to endure that guys.
