When we got back to my place, Gerard sat in the car, not moving an inch.
"Gerard, come on inside, it'll be warmer in there."
"What about Mikey, oh God, I forgot all about my baby brother."
He coiled in on himself and started crying. I was so scared right then. I gently pulled him closer to me.
"He can stay with us."
Gerard looked at me.
"Wh-What?"
"I said Mikey can stay with us."
He attempted to stop crying.
"But, what if he recognizes you Frank?"
"If he does, we won't have to worry, he'll understand."
"Okay, but if you get arrested I'm not bailing your stupid ass out."
"Don't worry, I won't get arrested, I'll get arrested and sent to prison for raping a kid."
He punched my arm. Ow. What did I do?
"I'm not a kid."
"Oh, right. You're a cross-dressing kid who slept with his teacher. My bad."
He punched me again, then got out of the car. I quickly followed him up to my door so I could let him in. When we got inside my house, he immediately whipped out his phone and told Mikey where he was. I could hear a cough in the background and I went into the kitchen to get Gerard something to drink. A few moments later, Gerard joined me at the island and took the coffee I gave him.
"Mikey is a little suspicious, but I convinced him that you just found me on the street and gave me shelter. I'm going to go pick him up really fast. I'll be back in a bit."
He turned to go through the front door but I quickly pulled him into my arms. Stumbling, his legs buckled beneath him, causing him to fall. Before he could land, though, I picked him up and put him back on his feet. I pulled him in for a kiss. When I pulled away, I whispered into his ear.
"Be safe."
He whispered back.
"I will."
He walked out, leaving me to know he'll be back.

I've been having to pack and clean today so I am flipping tired!
