First Day As Parents

Gerard:
The alarm goes off, again. I turn it off before Frank can wake up and I make my way to Charlie's room. I pick him up out of his crib and start cradling him, singing him back to sleep. I love how he just goes right back to sleep as if he didn't wake me or Frankie up. I start singing a song that I wrote a couple of months ago.
"I never, said I'd lie and wait forever.
If I died we'd be together, I can't always just forget her, but she could try...
At the end of the world, Or the last thing I see

Could I? Should I?

"Your voice is beautiful Gerard."
I turn around. Frankie is standing at the doorway, holding the baby monitor in his hand and looking at me with his dazzling hazel eyes.
"You heard?"
"Yeah. I love your voice. What's the name of the song?"
"Um, I called it The Ghost Of You."
"It's a beautiful name baby."
"Thanks."
He walks over and sits next to me on the little couch we have in here. He makes hand motions for me to hand Charlie over and I carefully place our baby in his arms.
"He's so precious."
"Myyyy....precious....."
Frank slaps me with the hand not holding Charlie and I try to hold in my giggles. Instead, I wrap my arm around Frank's shoulder and he leans his head on mine and we sit there as I gently hum the rest of the song and Frank rocks Charlie in his arms.

Sorry it is so short. I wanted to get something down because I will be gone this weekend. But guess what? I have a two week break starting this coming Monday!!!
