***Gerard's POV***
I dragged myself out of bed, and headed to the bathroom to get ready. Today, my parents wanted to bring my grandma, Helena, and my cousins, Sam, Genni, and James, so they could meet Chris.Sam is 13, Genni is 12, and James is 10. When I told my parents about our engagement they were more than happy. I knew they would be. I also know that grandma Helena will adore her. I'm just worried about my cousins. They've never been the best of kids. I remember when they first met Alicia. They treated her like shit. Whenever she spoke, they would role their eyes and make nasty comments under their breath. Mikey was so pissed off, I don't think I've ever seen him that mad at them before. They've never liked our girlfriends. I think it's because when we were younger, the three of them would come over for Thanksgiving every year. We would always go to the basement and play dress up, and board games the whole time. When I was 17, I had a girlfriend at the time that I had invited over. She didn't want to play with them or anything. All she wanted to do was make out in the corner. Stupidly, I ditched my cousins, and did what she wanted. Ever since then, they've hated all of Mikey and my girlfriends.
It was almost 12pm, so I began to get dressed. They would be arriving in an hour or so.
Chris was sleeping over at Jessica's apartment because her grandmother had just passed, and Chris thought it would be good for her to have a friend to talk to.
I grabbed my phone from the kitchen counter, and dialed her number. I needed her back here before my family arrived.
"Hello?"
"Hey. I'm gonna come pick you up in 20 minutes. Be ready." I said while putting on a shirt
I grabbed my keys, and headed out the door. It takes about 10 minutes to get to her apartment. When I got there, I found her door, and rang the doorbell. Jessica answered with tears in her eyes.
"Hey, Jess. How are you feeling?" I asked
"Eh. I've been better. Chris helped me out a lot though." she smiled
"Yeah, she's good at that stuff." I smiled back
"You can come in. She's just getting dressed."
I walked into her small apartment, and saw Chris looking at herself in the mirror. She was wearing black skinny jeans, with a blue long sleeve sweater.
"Chris you look beautiful. Lets. Go!" I semi-yelled
"Jeez. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the fucking bed." she said with a angry stare
I just rolled my eyes and walked out the door with her behind me.
"Bye Jess. Call me if you need anything, okay? I'll come by sometime tomorrow and we can do something." she said while hugging Jessica
"Gerard. What's wrong?" she asked in a stern voice.
"Nothing. Let's just go."
I didn't want to tell her why I'm so stressed out. She knows that my family is coming over, she just doesn't know that my parents are bringing everyone, and I know thats she's going to freak out and have a nervous break down. I just want to get home, and start preparing myself for a long day. She sat in the car hugging her legs to her chest.
"Look, sugar. I'm sorry I'm taking all my shit out on you. I'm not mad or anything. I'm just kinda stressed, you know?"
"What are you stressed about?"
"Well uhm.. When I tell you, please don't freak out, okay?"
"Gerard." she said in a stern voice, eyeing me
"You know how my parents are coming over today?"
"Mhm.."
"Okay. Well um.. They're kinda bringing my grandma, and my three cousins... They wanna meet you."
"W-What time?"
"In 25 minutes....."
"Jesus Gerard! Why didn't you tell me? I look like shit!"
"No, sugar. You never look like shit. You look beautiful. You'll be fine, okay? I don't want you to worry.... But I just kinda wanna warn you.. My cousins are little shits. If you wanna get away from them, you and I could do something."
"Oh. A-Alright."

When we got home, we only had about 15 minutes until they would be arriving. Chris changed into a lace red dress, with a black sweater.
"Stunning. As always." I said as she walked down the stairs.
"Thanks, babe." she said while giving me a peck on the lips.
The doorbell rang, and her face turned red.
"Baby, relax. You'll be fine. They'll love you."
I answered the door, and my parents were the first to engulf me in a big hug. Then grandma Helena, and then the cousins.. well they just walked past me into the house. My parents walked in and gave Chris a huge hug.
"Oh congratulations you guys!!" my mom said still hugging her.
"Both of my boys engaged to such beautiful girls at the same time!" my dad said, patting me on the back.
"Oh mom! This is the girl Gerard is going to marry!" my mom said to grandma Helena
"Oh my goodness! You are so beautiful! Gerard, you're a lucky man!" Helena said.
She hugged Chrissi and I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. I knew she'd love her.
We walked into the kitchen, and I noticed my cousins were giving her death stares, and whispering. Oh fuck no. No way in hell were they going to treat her like that. I walked over to them and gave them a stern look.
"For once can you guys stop being little butts, and actually be happy for me for finding someone? What the hell is your problem? How come every single time you guys come over, you harass and make rude comments about Mikey and my girlfriends? I seriously love this girl, okay? And you will respect her."
They looked at me in shock. I've never spoken to them like that.
"Look, Gerard. You wanna know why we don't like your girls? Because remember those good times when we used to have so much fun? That hasn't happened in years! You never pay attention to us when we're over. All of the girlfriends you've had were bitches! They wanted nothing to do with us, and you went along with them, and completely ignored us! That's why!" Sam said
"Chrissi's different. She loves kids! If you guys actually talk to her, and stop giving her death stares, you'll get to know the amazing person that she is! Just give her a chance, okay? I promise you she won't ignore you."
They shrugged and walked away, leaving me in the hallway.
I walk into the dining room and see Chris, grandma, mom, and dad talking. I walk behind Chris and put my hands on her shoulders
"May I please steal my lovely girl from you guys for just a bit?"
"Only for a little, Gerard." my mom laughed
I took Chrissi's hand and we walked to the basement where the cousins were.
"Okay you guys. I would like to introduce you to my lovely lady, Chrissi." I wrapping my arms around her waist
They waved awkwardly, and she smiled widely at them
"You guys wanna watch a movie with us?" I asked
"I guess..." Genni said
"Come on. It'll be fun." I said
Chris and I sat on the couch, with my arms around her. She noticed James was staring at her, and she smiled and waved. He slightly waved back
"Okay, what movie?" I asked
"We should watch a Disney movie." Sam said
We all agreed on Snow White, and the five us of sat on the couch, eating popcorn. My parents and grandma came in towards the middle, and we all watched it together. Genni walked towards me and whispered in my ear.
"I like her. She's nice."
I smiled at her,and nodded
"I knew you would."
