My Life Is Suddenly Changing
***Chrissi's POV***
Lost the baby? I didn't know how to feel about this. I mean I know Gee and I both weren't ready by any means. Maybe we would have been irresponsible parents.
"I'll leave you two alone." the doctor said while walking out.
Gee and I just stared into each others eyes for what seemed like hours. We both were unsure about how to feel.
"W-Well. Everything happens for a reason. I guess we really weren't ready." Gee said breaking the silence
I just nodded my head in agreement
Gerard just took my hand in his, and we sat in silence once again.
****Time lapse****
I was released from the hospital a couple hours later, at 7:30am. We decided to just go home and get some sleep. When we woke up, we called everyone and told them the news. Everyone was very accepting and understanding, even Gerard and I. I know it sounds wrong not to be completely heartbroken, but we just weren't ready, and Gee was right when he said everything happens for a reason. Maybe this was for the best.
I was still in a lot of pain, so I spent most of the morning laying on the couch. Unfortunately Gerard had to go into work today, so I was left home alone. It was raining really hard outside, so I didn't feel like going anywhere. Today was just one of those really shitty days. I have now spent almost 5 hours on the couch. I still had some of the baby weight, so I decided to get off my fat ass, and work out. I went down to the basement and exercised for an hour, until Gee came home.
"How was work today, babe?" I asked
"Eh it was okay. How are you feeling, sugar?"
"I'm okay. Just in a bit of pain, but not too bad."
"Good. So I was thinking. How about you and I go to the park or something tonight Kinda take our mind off things. How does that sound?"
"Yeah sure, I'm down."
We changed our clothes, and headed off. We brought a picnic basket with food, and we sat under a large tree. When we finished eating, We laid down on the blanket we brought, and looked up at the stars. I rested my head on his chest, and heard his heart beating. He had his arm securely around my waist, and we stayed like that for hours. He then got up, took my hand, and we walked over to a small garden on the far end of the park.
"No matter what ever happens in life, Chrissi, I will always love you."
"I will always love you too, Gerard. No matter what."
"Chrissi, do you love me with all your heart?"
"Of course, Gee. I love you more than anything."
"You sure?"
"Positive."
He then knelt down in front of me, and took out a small black box.
"Chrissi Ann Jones. Will you marry me?"
