Who Knew A Tattoo Could Change Everything?
***Gerard's POV**
"Gerard! I need you!"
"Ugh.. What do you want, Mikey?"
"I want you to come with me to get a tattoo for Alicia as an anniversary present."
Mikey has been wanting to do something special for Alicia for a long time. I'm actually really happy for him that he's found someone special.
"Sure I'll go with you Mikes. Just give me a few minutes to get ready."
I pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans, and a Smashing Pumpkins T-shirt. I ran down the stairs only to find Mikey already in the car.
"Wow you must be really excited.." I said
"I just wanna go before it gets dark. That part of town is no good and I don't feel like getting my car stolen..."
I got in the car and we drove off. The drive took a good 15 minutes. The whole ride there, Mikey and I listened and sang along to Nirvana. When we got there,I could see Mikey start to tense up.
"You sure you wanna do this? I mean, you can always back out now."
"Stop it, Gerard. I'm nervous enough as it is, I don't need you making things worse." I rolled my eyes, and ignored his comment.
"Hi! Are you here for a tattoo?" a short, brown haired girl came up to us.
"Yeah" said Mikey
"Alright what can I do for you then?" she said
"I wanna get a rose on my wrist that says 'I will love you until the rose dies' as an anniversary present for my girlfriend" said Mikey
"Oh how sweet! Alright just follow me to the back and I'll get you started."
I couldn't help but notice her big blue eyes. I occasionally caught myself getting lost in them.
"Alright, just take a seat, and I'll get you started." she smiled. She cleaned Mikey's arm, and then began to sketch out the tattoo.
"So what's your name?" I asked
"Chrissi" she said as she was starting to tattoo my brother. "How about you guys?"
"I'm Gerard and thats my brother, Mikey"
"Sweet." she smiled.
"So how old are you? You know, if you don't mind my asking."
"I actually just turned 17 five days ago."
'You're allowed to tattoo people at 17?" Mikey asked
"Normally no.. But my sister's boyfriend owns the shop so he allowed me to get a job here since he knew how much I love art. but I've only been working here for about a month."
"How long do you think this is going to take?" asked Mikey sounding like he was in pain.
"About an hour and a half.. Shouldn't be any longer than that." she said reassuringly
"So how long have you and your girlfriend been together, Mikey?" Chrissi asked
"It'll be 3 years tomorrow" he smiled
"Aw thats nice. I wish you two the best." she said.
"So you like Smashing Pumpkins?" she asked me. She probably just noticed my shirt.
"Yeah. They're awesome." I grinned
"I have a couple of their CDs if you wanna listen to them." she offered
"Yeah that'd be great!" I replied
"Alright let me go get them. Hang in there Mikey!" she said as she walked off.
We spent about a half hour just talking and getting to know each other while singing off key to the CDs. She told Mikey and I so much about her life, like how her sister, Alice is her biggest inspiration, and how she always looked up to her from when she was little to now. She's 6 years older than Chrissi, so she said she was like a mother to her. Alice had been struggling with Cancer on and off since she was 11. Chrissi said that right now she was fine, but it could come back any day. She mentioned how much she loves art, and how she spends her free time mostly just playing the guitar or piano, or drawing. She definitely seemed like my kind of girl.
"Alright! Done!" Chrissi said while handing Mikey a mirror.
"Holy shit! Oh my god, Chrissi it's amazing! Oh Alicia's gonna love it! Thank you, Thank you!" Mikey said while pulling Chrissi into a hug
"It's my pleasure Mikey! I hope she loves it." she hugged him back.
I looked at the work she had done and I was in shock. I'm not even that good. It was so beautiful, and detailed! This girl has some major talent.
While Mikey was checking himself out in the mirror. I slowly made my way over to Chrissi, who was clearing off the tattooing area. She turned around and smiled at me.
"You know, you seem really cool, and I really enjoyed talking to you today. If you're up to it, maybe we could meet at a coffee shop sometime, and just jam out?"
"Yeah, sure. That sounds fantastic, I'd love to." she grinned.
"Alright, awesome. So, uhm, here's my number, and uh, you know, give me a call, and we'll set something up."
She giggled "Alright, you got it." I waved goodbye to her, and headed to the car, with Mikey admiring his tattoo the whole ride home.

OMG that was so sad when Gerard was begging for forgiveness :'(
