The One That Got Away
Chapter 26
Gerard’s P.O.V
I ran to the alley without even stopping once. My lungs were burning by the time I caught a glimpse of Jared. I ran straight up to him and before he could even utter a word I punched him square in the face.
“Fuck!” he yelled. My hand hurt because of my inexperience fighting, but I didn’t care. Jared hurt Frank, MY FRANK, so of course all of this was worth it. Once Jared regained his balance he tried to punch me but failed because I ducked.
To be honest I didn’t even know I was this agial. If I knew this before this would have saved me a lot of black eyes, but then again I never had a reason to be fighting before... all I ever did was run. I don’t know what made me act like this in the first place, maybe it was because I love Frank or maybe because I just saw the worlds most innocent human being hurt by the worlds biggest asshole.
Because Jared missed me when I ducked he ended up punching a wall and yelled out in pain. I took this opportunity to tackle him onto the floor and punch the living shit out of him.
All I could absorb about this situation was that Jared was in pain and that I was the one causing it. Also that all of this was happening because he hit Frank.
After about a while Jared passed out and I stopped. I stood up and walked out once again onto Franks’ street. I took out my phone and texted Mikey to tell mom if she could pick me up because something happened to Frank and I had to stay a bit later.
All his reply said was “yes” but I knew that he was going to want to know more... but I wasn’t going to tell him over the phone.
After reading his reply I took the liberty of walking into Franks’ kitchen getting a couple of painkillers for him and a glass of water. I set it on the coffee table and then I heard my mom’s car horn. I pecked Frank on the cheek and then left.
