I'll never let them hurt you, I promise

A night to remember.

Gee lead me to his dad's car. "If we wreck this thing, Dad'll kill us. Just sayin'" he grinned at me. I smirked. "Why are you telling me? You're driving, if we crash, it'll be all on you." He laughed as he got in. "Not really. If I crash, it'll probably be because you distracted me, making it your fault." "How will I distract you?" I asked indignantly. He raised his eyebrows and looked me up and down, before wordlessly starting the car. I looked at my hands, the nerves were resurfacing. I glanced at him, then asked, "So, um, where are we going?" He kept his eyes on the road. "Well... I want to take you to a place I know for dinner, in true date fashion," his lips turned up a little. "Then after that, it's pretty much up to you. We can see a movie of you want, or..." He smiled at me. "Whatever you want." He turned his attention back to the road. I went back to intensely studying my hands, clasping and unclasping my fingers. After a few minutes, he asked, "Kriss, are you okay?" I looked up, he was wearing a concerned expression. "I'm fine, just... A little nervous," I admitted. "Me too, but I keep telling myself it'll be fine, so here's hoping!" I laughed softly at the exaggerated brightness in his last words. "Seriously, Kriss, don't worry, sugar. It'll be great, 'kay?" I smiled at him. "Okay," I replied softly. He grinned back and reached over to run his fingers over my cheek. The car swerved a little suddenly, and Gee abruptly pulled his hand back to grab hold of the wheel again. I giggled at him, and he smirked. "Told you you'd distract me," he jeered. I rolled my eyes and stuck out my tongue. His smirk grew, but he didn't say anything further, he just kept driving. He pulled up not long later, outside a fancy-looking restaurant. I stared for a moment. It looked posh, and expensive. My palms began to sweat as my anxiety grew. This place looked really fancy, I wasn't at all sure about it. I was bound to humiliate myself in a place like this. Delicate and elegant were not words that I'd use to describe myself. I gnawed on my lip in worry. During my mental stressing, Gee had gotten out of the car,and come around to my side. He opened my door, like a gentleman, and offered me a hand. I took it and stepped out, trying my hardest not to look as clumsy as I felt. He shut my door, then put his hands on my hips and looked down into my eyes. "Kriss, sugar, don't look so anxious. Me and you are gonna have a good time tonight. Please, don't be self-concious. You're beautiful, do you understand me? Absolutely fucking beautiful." I stared at him. "H-how did you know? That I feel self-concious?" He smiled a little and pulled me closer. "Your eyes. They're so... I don't know, expressive. I can tell how you're feeling from them." I raised my eyebrows in surprise. He laughed. "Come on," he pulled me toward the restaurant, one arm round my waist. "Let's go dine like posh fuckers." Laughing, we walked in. We were met immediately by a tall, broad-shouldered host, who greeted us near the door. To my surprise, Gee told him we had a reservation. Thr man checked something in a book he was carrying, then walked away, telling us to follow. We did, and I whispered "Reservation?" Gee smiled and leant down to murmur, "I've been planning this. I wanted to treat you. Wait til you see our table." He winked. Curiosity spiked, I sped up to keep following the host. We walked through the restaurant, all the way to the back. I couldn't help but notice the other diners. They all looked so posh, men in suits and ties, women in formal dresses and jewels. I cringed into Gee's side. "I feel under-dressed!" I hissed. He squeezed me a little. "You look perfect," he told me softly. I smiled. The host opened a door, which opened to some stairs. I was confused, but I carried on up the stairs. At the top, the host opened another door, and we entered onto a balcony. I gasped when I saw it. Set up on the balcony were more tables. We were showed to a small, two-person table near the edge, with a small vase of roses in the middle. It was beautiful. The sun was beginning to set, shooting streaks of pink and gold through the sky, and we had a perfect view of it. We took seats and accepted the menus, thanking the host graciously. I turned to Gerard. "Gee, this is just amazing. I can't even... Just wow. Amazing." He grinned. "I wanted to make tonight special. So we'd remember it, you know? Plus, after all the shit that's happened recently, you deserve a little spoiling, don't you think?" He reached across the table and took my hand, lacing our fingers together, then he lifted it and kissed over my knuckles. "I want to spoil you," he whispered against my skin. I was smiling so widely my face hurt, but I didn't care. We stayed like that, my hand pressed against his face, until a waiter appeared to take our orders. We ordered two dishes, and shared them, laughing and talking and watching the sunset. He was the cutest guy I'd ever spent time with. He complimented me, he constantly held and kissed my hand, he even fed me mouthfuls of food. Yeah, he was a little cheesy, but he made me feel like a princess. I loved every second. He frowned a bit over how little I ate, but didn't go off too much about my eating problem. I got the idea that he'd tell me off for it another time, but for now I was happy. We finished our food, and he called for the bill. I went for my purse, but he frowned at me and paid before I could. I opened my mouth to object, but he leaned over and pressed his finger to my lips. "I'm spoiling you, remember?" He smiled. "But, Gee-" "Nope, no buts. Tonight is on me. You can pay next time or something, but tonight I'm covering the bill. End of discussion." I laughed at his mock-stern face, and we left the restaurant together. "So, come on, what shall we do now?" He nudged me with his elbow. I smiled. "Um, I don't know." I replied. "Well, how about a night-time stroll before we head home?" He suggested, offering me his elbow like an old-time gentleman. I laughed, and took it, leaning my head onto his shoulder. We walked through the dark Jersey streets, probably not the safest venture ever, but we didn't run into any trouble. We wandered along, not really focused on direction, just walking without a purpose, until we began to go numb with the cold. He grabbed my hand, and pulled me back to the car at a run, both of us laughing like little kids. We were out of breath by the time we reached the car, but that didn't stop him pushing me up against the car door and kissing me passionately. We stood there for a good five minutes, lips moving in sync, before he moved his face down the side of my neck. I moaned softly as he found the perfect spot, and he laughed against my skin, then began nipping and sucking at my skin. When he finally pulled back, I was even more breathless than before. He touched the damp skin where his mouth had been, and it stung a little. "Major hickey coming up there, Kriss," he grinned. "You're gonna look like such a slut." I smacked his chest lightly. "Your fault," I accused. He smirked. "I should hope so," he said. "If it's anybody else's fault, we have a problem." I snorted. " Come on, lets just go home," I ordered. He saluted. "Yes, ma'am," he grinned, and we got into the car. We drove home, singing Busted's 'Year 3000' as loud as we could. Gee was an excellent singer, me not so much. But it was still fun. We got home completely worn out, and hurried to his room before anybody caught us with questions. I changed in the bathroom, and he dressed in his bedroom, then we curled up together on his bed. We whispered goodnights, and were both out within seconds, hands still clasped even in slumber.
