Her big, brown eyes were the last thing I saw before that evil son of a bitch drove away with her. I was still laying on the sidewalk, where he'd shoved me. Anger bubbled inside of me. Fierce, violent, uncontrollable anger. I wanted to hurt him so badly, I wanted to make him pay for every tear she'd ever shed over his abuse. I slowly became aware of things other than the red-hot, burning emotions inside of me. My brother was next to me, talking frantically. "Gerard! Gee, Gee, ohmygod, are you okay?" I met his terrified eyes. "Mikes, I'm fine! Calm down." I got to my feet, ignoring the pain in the back of my head, where I'd hit the concrete. I looked at the guys. "Which way did their car go?" They looked at me, confused, then eventually Frank pointed down the street. "He went that way. But, Gee, wha-" I didn't hear the rest of his words, because I was too busy running. I pounded away, in the direction Frank had pointed. I had no real idea of what I was doing, I just knew that that dick was gonna hurt her, and I had to stop him before he got a real chance. I had to find her, and save her. That sounded so terribly cliché, like something out of a superhero film, but I didn't care. I needed to do it. I could hear more running footsteps behind me, more than one person, as I took random turnings and scanned the streets for a beat-up red car. I didn't turn, or acknowledge my pursuers, I just sped up so they couldn't catch me and stop me. I wasn't going to let them stop me looking for her. I would search the streets of Jersey all night if I had to. I just needed to reach her. In the incredibly short time I'd known Krissy, I'd come to really care about her. I'd found her pretty from the start, and when I'd learnt about her problems with self-harm, I'd wanted to help her through it. No-one had ever helped me, I'd had to do it on my own. I didn't want her to have that, so I'd decided to do whatever I could to help. Then, when I learnt about her past, the urge to help her had tripled. I wanted to show her that her insecurities were unnecessary, that she was lovely and nice, and didn't deserve what she and other people put her through. I'd spent time with her, and found how alike we were. She intrigued me, and even though I hadn't known her long, I felt connected to her. And now she was in danger. I had to find her, no matter what, and help her. I kept on running, barely aware of the ache in my muscles as I pushed them to their limit. I had never been the most athletic of people - to be honest, it was a miracle I'd got this far. I was tiring now, and I could hear the others catching up. "G-Gee!" Frank was beside me, gasping as he tried to keep up. "Gerard, stop!" "No!" I grunted, trying to push myself harder, but I was really losing pace now. Damn all those Gym classes I skipped. Mikey and Ray had caught up too. They, like Frank, were yelling at me to stop, but I ignored their pleas. Eventually, they seemed to have enough. Frank grabbed one of my arms, and Ray clutched the other, and they yanked me to a halt. I fought and struggled against them, but there was no way I was getting free. They weren't particularly strong, but there was two of them, and that was enough. "Guys, get off! Let go of me! I swear, I'll kill you both!" They took no notice of my shouts and simply held on. "GET. THE FUCK. OFF!!!" My yell rang through the deserted side-street. "No!" Frank yelled back. "Gee, you need to stop. You won't find her by just randomly running through the streets! And even if you did, what will you do? The guy will own you. He's huge, and he obviously knows how to hurt people. Not to mention the knife! Just, chill out a second, please, let's think about this!" I finally gave up fighting. Frank was right. What he said sucked, but it was true. There was nothing I could do. I slumped in defeat, the hot sting of brimming tears invading my eyes. I felt so weak, helpless, worthless. My friends, seeming satisfied that I wouldn't bolt, let go of me, and, I let my body drop to the ground. "Guys, we have to do something." My words were like a plea, begging for them to help me. They all nodded. "Course we do, dude, but you can't just go off your ass like that. You ain't getting nowhere like that." I sighed. "But I-" my words were cut off by a shrill scream. I recognized that voice. Krissy! I bolted upright, and took off once again. Like last time, I could feel the others racing behind me. But this time, I knew they were following, not chasing. I ran as hard and fast as I could, despite the running I'd done before, and soon spotted the beat-up car in front of me, parked beside the entrance of a dark alleyway. There, I saw him, stood over a shape slumped on the ground, clutching his little knife. On the blade was a coating of deep, red blood. The shape on the ground shifted and moaned, and he kicked her, snarling words I couldn't hear. I heard her gasp in pain, and I lost it, acting without thought. I lunged forward, before he could notice me, and attacked him, my friends and my brother hot on my heels.

Hmmm, not too sure about this chapter... Gee is harder to write than Krissy. It doesn't seem to flow right. But, mehh, it's an update, right? Back to Krissy's POV next chapter.
