Gerard P.O.V.

I was back in the bus by myself. Eliza went to town to get something.

I was looking at old pictures of Lindsey and I. What went wrong. Oh, wait, it was my fault. All of this is my fault. Why didn't I just let Lindsey explain to me why she was leaving to New York.

"Hey, Gee," Frank said.

"Hey, Frankie," I said looking up from my phone.

"Um, the guys and I are going to the country park, wanna come?" Frank asked.

"Uh, sure." I said.

"Okay, get ready, we're leaving in an hour," Frank said and started to head out.

"Frank!" I called.

"Yeah," he said stepping back in the bus.

"Is Lindsey going to be there?" I asked.

He smiled. "That's for me to know and for you to find out," Frank said.

"What?" I said.

"Oh, by the way. You were so looking at old pictures of you guys together, weren't you," Frank smirked.

"Yeah," I said quietly.

"Gerard, you have to tell her you messed up. Big time." Frank said.

"Okay, say I do tell her, what happens to Eliza," I asked.

Frank sighed and rolled his eyes. He came back in the little lounge and sat across from me on the table.

"If I were you, I open my eyes, Gerard." Frank said.

"What?" I asked again.

"Just, come with us to the trip, she'll explain it to you," Frank said.

"She?" I asked.

"Lindsey," Frank said as if it was obvious.

He stood up and walked to the door. "Frank!" I called again.

"Yes?" Frank said.

"Please, help me get her back." I pleaded.

"Don't worry, Gee. I will, but, you have to get rid of the bitch," Frank said.

"Eliza isn't a bitch, Frank," I said angrily.

He laughed. "Trust me, she is." Frank said and left.

What just happened?



I went to go put on my old Chuck Taylor's. A comfortable jeans and shirt. I also brought a leather jacket with me just in case.

"Ready to go!" Ray called.

Mikey and Bob been ready since, like, thirty minutes ago. Frank and Ray were ready in less than five minutes. I on the other hand took somewhat a long time.

"Almost," I called.

"Uh, Gerard! They're going to be here any minute! Hurry the fuck up!" Frank said.

I went to the lounge were everyone was. "Happy," I said.

"Very," Frank said.

We heard a knock on the door.

"Your ass got lucky, Gee," Mikey said.

Bob had opened the door to reveal that it was Eliza. Frank groaned.

"What? Expecting someone, Frank," Eliza said.

"Not you," Frank said. "Bitch," he mumbled.

"Why are you guys dressed down?" She asked.

"Did you tell her, Gerard?" Ray asked.

"Fuck," I mumbled to myself. I had forgotten to call Eliza...

"Uh. I'm sorry babe. I didn't have signal to call you," I said.

"It's fine baby. So, when are we going?" She asked.

I can see Frank roll his eyes. He then started to make faces behind Eliza's back.
We then heard a knock on the door.

This time, Mikey got up and opened it.

"Hey guys! Are you ready to go," Lindsey said.

Eliza's eyes widen. Lindsey had rolled her eyes when she saw Eliza. Okay, what's going on?

"Yeah, we're ready," Mikey said.

He got his book bag and stepped out of the bus. Frank, Bob, and Ray followed. That left just Eliza and I.

"And then there were two," I said quietly.

"Gerard, you are going to that hiking trip?" Eliza asked.

"Yeah. You can come if you want," I said.

"No. I'm not going. I don't like the outdoors. I thought you didn't either," she asked.

"I like going outside," I said.

"Okay. Well, when will I see you," Eliza asked. She started to tap her foot and crossed her arms. That's a sign that she's pissed.

"Uh, I don't know. An hour or so," I said.

"Okay. Be safe baby," Eliza said.

"Okay, you too," I said.

Eliza came up to me and kiss me on the lips. "I love you," she said.

"I love you, too," I said. I had a deep feeling that I really didn't mean it at all.

I grabbed my book bag and ran to catch up with the rest.

Since there were about ten of us, we had to take two cars to the park.

We stopped in front of the gate of the country park. Car 1 is driven by Lindsey. Jimmy, Steve, Lucinda, Frank, and I. Car 2 is driven by Kitty. Bob, Ray, and Mikey are there.

Lindsey pulled next to Car 2 who was parked.

"Hey Lindsey!" Kitty called.

"Yeah." Lindsey called back.

"What cabinet are we going?" She asked.

"Sixteen. It's on the west side of the park." Lindsey said.

The country park has a lake in the middle. It's a pretty big lake if you ask me.

You enter to a sign that says "WELCOME TO THE MISSOURI COUNTRY PARK." You go in for
a mile and then it's split in two parts. The west side and the east side.

The west side had all the even numbered cabinets while the east side has the odds.

Lindsey lead the way. This park is all woods. There's a lot of big hills. It was a long drive since the park has about twenty cabinets.

After a couple of minutes of driving, we saw a sign that said "CABINET 16."

When Lindsey parked the car, we got off.

Cabinet 16 is surrounded by trees. There's a meadow a couple of feet away but was boarded by trees that separated the meadow and the road that leads to the cabinet.

The cabinet had about five picnic tables. Enough to make a birthday party here. Cabinet 16 is the color red. So, you can tell that there's a cabinet here if you're in the woods.

In the middle, there was a fire place.

"Okay." Lindsey said. "Welcome to Cabinet 16."

Jennifer and they guys managed to get out before us. "So do you first want to sit around?" Jennifer asked.

"Yeah." Lindsey said.

We all put our back-bags on the picnic tables.

"Hey, Eliza didn't came," Lindsey said. They all looked at me.

"She didn't want to come. She isn't a outdoors person." I said.

They all nod their heads as if they had agreed.

"So, we're just going to rest here first, then we'll look for some trails." Lindsey said.

The cabinet had some swings on the side. Behind the cabinet was a bathroom and a tiny meadow. Well, you can't really call it a meadow.

"So you guys remember, we're in Cabinet 16," Lindsey said

I'm just hoping if we do go on a trail, that no one gets lost.
