I Never Stopped Loving You
Chapter 6: Safer to Hate Her
Gerard P.O.V.
It's been two days since Lindsey started to ignore me. Why is Lindsey ignoring me. Did I do something wrong?
"Baby, what are you thinking of?" Eliza said kissing my cheek.
"Uh, oh just somethings," I said looking back to the wall.
"What are they?" Eliza said.
"Uh," Quick Gerard! Think of something. "The afterlife..." I said hoping she would buy it.
"What about the afterlife?" She asked
"Uh, if we're going to heaven," I said.
"You never been religious," Eliza said. Shit she knows somethings up. "So, what are you thinking of."
"Fine, I'll tell you." I said. "It's just uh, Lindsey seems to be ignoring me lately." I said.
She got off the couch. Oh I got her pissed off. Wait, why is she pissed off!?
"What?" I said.
"You seem to be thinking of her more than me, Gerard," Eliza said tapping her foot.
"Well, it's not my fault that she's been ignoring me lately," I said.
She rolls her eyes. "So, what do you want me to do?" She asked.
"Can you tell me what's going on with her?" I asked.
She sat back down next to me. "You don't want to get hurt right. And you don't want her to get hurt, too, right." Eliza said.
"Yeah."
"Well. I think it's safer to hate her than to love her and to loose her." Eliza said.
"But wouldn't that mean that we both get hurt?" I asked.
"No. Not at all," Eliza said.
I wonder if she's telling the truth. I mean, she was pissed off when I brought the subject.
"I don't know. Is there another reason why?" I asked.
"I don't know, she can be on her period I guess." Eliza said with a shrugged.
I ignore Lindsey for most of the week. Just like she did to me. Each day I saw her talk less and less to everyone.
I wasn't the only one who noticed.
"Okay, dude, what the fuck did you do to Lindsey," Mikey said. We were both alone on the bus.
"Nothing. Eliza said it was probably because she's on her special days." I said.
"Dude, she's been like this for a week and a half. I don't think girls special days last that long." Mikey stated.
"Well what do you want me to do. I didn't do anything!" I said.
"Just talk to her. Ask her what's wrong." Mikey said.
"I'll go talk to her right now." I said.
I went out the bus and head to theirs. As I head there, I get pinned to a wall.
"Okay, Gerard. What the fuck did you do to Lindsey," Kitty said.
"What are you talking about." I asked.
"She's talking about why is Lindsey isolating herself." Steve said.
"Okay. I've been wondering that myself. It's not my fault. I was just about to go talk to her but Kitty pinned me up to the wall," I said.
"We're keeping an eye on you, Way," Jimmy said. Kitty let me go.
"Look, I don't know what's wrong with her myself. I wish I knew but I don't. And like I said before, I'm going to look for her to talk to her," I said.
"Fine, but you better fucking find out what's wrong, Way," Jimmy said and they left.
Never mess with Kitty, I thought to myself.
I searched and searched for Lindsey. I couldn't find her at all. It wasn't until like five minutes before their show when she appeared.
I went back stage. "Lindsey," I called.
I found her tuning her bass guitar. "Lindsey," I called again.
She looks at me wide eyed and looks around as if ignoring me.
"Lindsey." I said. I was now in front of her. "What's wrong?" I asked.
She doesn't respond. Instead, she turns her back at me, as if I am invisible.
"I know you're ignoring me!" I said turning to face her.
She keeps her head down, looking at her bass. She mumbles something but I'm not sure what it is.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you," I said.
"I said leave me the fuck alone," Lindsey snapped.
"What did I do wrong, Lindsey," I asked. Why is she mad at me.
"I can't tell you, okay. So leave me the fuck alone." She snapped.
"Tell me so I can fix the problem," I pleaded.
"Then, you can help by quit talking to me or seeing me! Got it," she almost screamed at me. Her eyes were full of tears.
Lindsey quickly left. I guess it is safer to hater than to love her and to loose her all over again.
But I'm not going to hater her until I know what's wrong.
