Chapter 3
Frankie and I took his car to the movies and had a movie date, we watched the new Percy Jackson movie then went for Mexican food and ice cream after. We took our time eating so by the time we were done we had 20 minutes until school was let out, so we headed back. But every fucking second we were out I would imagine it was Gerard holding my hand, or paying for my bill or doing whatever Frank was doing to make me feel like a princess.
"Your doing it again." Frankie said on the drive back to school.
"Doing what?" I said pulling myself back into the real world rather than the one where Gerard were dating.
"Thinking about him." He said with a smirk.
"Damn you, how do you know when I am?"
"Cause I'm your besti i know everything about you.... Plus you bit your lip when you think about a guy you like." He said honestly.
"Seriously? How long have I been doing that?"
"Today? ever since I mentioned you two are perfect for each other." He said pulling into the school.
"Damn it. Okay well thanks for everything," I said climbing out of his car.
"Hey!" He said before I closed the door, "I cant go over today but I'll call, and if you don't answer I'm gonna break down your door, and call me whenever you need."
"Okay. Bye."
"Later." He said as I closed the door and he drove away.
I still had a few minutes to kill before the bell rung so I pulled out my cigarettes and lit one up. I took a long drag and tried to forget about everything that happened today. I finished that one pretty quickly and started up my second one, half way through the bell rung and Gerard pulled up in his car and opened the passengers door for me from his seat. I sighed and climbed in his car with him, even though I was starting to like him, I still as pretty pissed at him for slapping me.
"Hey." he said as i buckled up.
"Hi." I breathed out and he started his drive.
"Look about earlier, on the way to school-" I cut him off.
"Don't."
"Tammy I'm trying to do the right thing and apologize." He said.
"It doesn't matter, if you have to try and do the right thing, then you never should have done the wrong thing in the first place." God I probably sounded like a woman scolding her 1st grade child. But Gerard response shocked me.
"Your right, I crossed the line and hit a girl, I didn't mean to and I'm sorry," He said pulling up to my house. "I understand if you don't forgive me."
"Thank you for apologizing, but I don't forgive you.. just yet." Then I ran out of his car and into my house.
I ran to get away from him so he wouldn't see me cry, when I got inside I locked the door and ran to the closest mirror and calmed myself down until the tears were gone and there was no evidence that I was about to cry. I started to walk to my kitchen to make myself a pot of coffee when I heard the lock on my door unlock. I froze in my steps in fear and I swear you could hear my heart beat from a mile away. The door swung open ad I thought Rick and picked my lock and he came here to hurt me. But instead in walked Gerard. When I saw him I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. But then it dawned across me, how the fuck did he unlock the door?
"You left you phone in my car." He said walking in and holding my phone out to me.
"How the hell did you get in here?" I asked taking my phone.
"Your mom gave me a pair of keys tou your house in case I needed to wake you up or quite place to study." He said with a smirk.
"Fucking A, okay well I have my phone now you can go." I said pushing him out the door.
As soon as he was out the door my phone started to buzz, it was a call from Frankie.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey is everything locked and yeah?"
"Well doesn't someone get to the point, haha, yup I'm all good."
"Okay good, I got busted for ditching so I'm grounded this week, but i'll try and sneak over or something."
"Frankie, thanks for caring and all but I don't want you to get in anymore trouble I can handle myself this week."
"Okay, I believe you, but if you don't answer your phone I WILL break down your door, got it?"
"Yeah I got it short stuff, oh hey guess what?"
"I'm not short I'm fun size, and what?"
"My mom gave Gerard keys to my house."
"Ohhh midnight sex, steamy." He said laughing.
"Oh my god." I said, then started to blush cause I was thinking about Gerard and I having sex.
"Tell me how big his-"
"Bye Frankie." I said cutting him off and ending the call.
I went upstairs and crawled into bed, it was 4;30 but I was tired so screw it, I was going to sleep.
***********************Time Lapse to next morning*************************
I woke up to see Gerard with a worried face in front of mine and him violently shaking me and yelling my name.
"Thank god." He said sighing and sitting back on the floor.
"What?" I asked in complete confusion.
"I came in your house and I heard you screaming, so I ran upstairs to find you having a nightmare and when I tried waking you up wouldn't and you scared me there." He said running his hand through his perfect black hair.
"I don't remember anything, what was I screaming?"
"I think it was someones name, so at first I thought you were having a sex dream or something, but then you started to scream 'please stop, don't hurt me' so I kinda got freaked out." HE said eying me.
I froze for a second, did I have a dream about Rick, shit.
"Hey, you okay?" Gerard asked in a hushed voice.
"Uh yeah, when does school start?" I said trying to change the topic.
"About 10 minutes."
"Shit." I said running out of bed and to my closet, I slept in my bra and underwear last night and I didn't care if Gerard saw me, I was tugging on my shorts when Gerard's hands caught my wrist. He pulled them away from my body and looked at my body with a horrified expression.
I followed his eyes down and saw a huge purple bruise from where Rick punched me and a even bigger one from where he kicked me. I quickly pulled away from him and covered my body with my arms as I ran to my closet to pull on Misfits Tee. I tried to walk out of my room but Gerard stopped me with one hand. His eyes were closed tight and he was pinching the bridge of his nose with his other hand.
"Who. Did That. To. You." He asked slowly.
"N-no o-one, I f-fell." I stuttered.
"Tammy, I have been in a fair amount of fights to know what a punch on the stomach, a hard punch in the stomach bruise looks like. So I ask you again, who did that?"
"Why do you care?"
"B-because I-I lo, because I do okay. Was it that short Iero kid?"
"Frankie? God no, he wanted to kill the guy that-" I was cut off.
"GUY!" He said staring at me wide eyed. "Tammy tell me and I'll take care of it."
"No,"
"Fine," Then he grabbed my bag and threw me over his shoulder again like he did yesterday and threw me in his car, only today I didn't put up a fight. "Just so you know," He said as we were driving, were not going to school tomorrow."
"Fine with me, can I ask why?"
"I have something I need to... take care of, and if I decide to go then we'd be late and get detention or something so why even bother."
"That's fine with me, just means I don't have to see you tomorrow." I said with a smirk. I do like him full on now that he cared about who hit me, but I still had to make it look like I hated him.
"Nope." He said pulling in front of the school to let me out.
"What?" I said opening my door.
"You have like $200, I'm going over tomorrow when I'm.... done with what I need to do, and I expect pizza."
"Why would I buy you pizza?"
"Cause, someone did that to you, and it's MY job to make your life a living hell, so I'm gonna kill 3 birds with 1 stone, birdy number one," He said using his fingers to count, " I get to annoy the shit out of you, two I get to see who is asshat is, and three I get free pizza. Now get out of my car." And I did what I was told.
God tomorrow is gonna be intresting.
"Your doing it again." Frankie said on the drive back to school.
"Doing what?" I said pulling myself back into the real world rather than the one where Gerard were dating.
