Do You Have Any Paint?
********Blue's P.O.V A little before Hanna met up with the guys***********
"Are you sure about this?" I asked looking at my new hair.
I had managed to get into Battery City without being noticed, also, I chose an apartment complex at random to break into. Apparently I wasn't very good at it. I had woken up the owner of it, a girl maybe 26 or 27, she looked scared. Well I was pointing a gun to her head telling her to shutup and not make any noises.
She had told me whatever I was planning, wasn't gonna work. She said I may have gotten in, but my clothes and hair screamed 'Killjoy' and the Drac's wouldn't hesitate to shoot me. I knew she was right. She told me she would help me if I helped her.
"Why do you want my help?" I asked.
"I want out of here, I wanna join the Killjoys."
"No offense but your to old to start training." I told her.
"I don't wanna fight or anything, I want to see my brother's again."
"Who are they?" I asked.
"I have a twin, Ray, and a younger brother, I dont know his name." She told me.
"Is your name Hanna?" I asked giving that a shot.
"Yes, how did you know?" She asked.
"Your brother, Ray, was one of my trainers and one of my closest friends, your other brother, his name is Reggie, was my friend growing up."
"How are they? I havent seen them in over 20 years."
"I know. Jet told me the story."
"Jet?" She asked.
"Your brother, Ray, that's his code name." I told her.
"Will you help me get back to them?"
"If you help me get to Korse."
"Deal."
"Okay." I started, "We dont have a lot of time, your brother and his team are most likely on there way to come and get me, but I cant let that happen, just yet. I need to buy more time, and you can help me with that. You have to get me to Korse."
"WHy does his team want you? And why do you want to see Korse?"
"His team leader, is my husband. Korse is my father, and I don't want to see him, I want to kill him."
"Kill him or don't kill him, I don't care. But why are you leaving your husband?"
"I'd rather not say."
"Okay, whats your natural hair color?"
"Blonde, why?"
"We need to dye it back, so you can blend in more. You look my size, so we'll switch clothes." She led me to her bathroom and pulled out a bottle, I had dyed my hair many time's so I knew what to do.
When we were done, my hair wasn't back to normal, it had a small tint of red, but was nothing like the fire truck color it used to be. But then it felt felt like a blender went off in my stomach, luckily we were in the bathroom, but I still barley made it to the toilet before I spilled my guts out. Hanna held my hair back and got me a glass of water when I had finished.
"Your having a baby arnt you?"
"Yeah." I said.
"How old are you?"
"16." I answered.
She signed and started to take off her clothes, she let on her bra and underwear and handed me the ones she was wearing, I did the same. We were almost the same size, I was a bit smaller than her, but my stomach had increased a bit so her clothes fit me fine.
"Okay, how long have we been at this?" I asked her.
"About 45 minutes."
I handed her one of my knifes, the one Kobra had given me 2 years ago, just to prove to the guys to trust her.
"Okay, go to the gate beat things up a bit. The guy should be there soon, stop them, talk to them for as long as you can buying me more time, then tell them who you are. Then Ray will take you to Safe Haven, and my husband and the others might stay to look for me, or go back with you."
"Safe Haven?"
"Are home base."
"How do I get them to stop?"
She had a point, she may be dressed like Killjoys, but I know Party. He wont stop for any Killjoy. I have to make her look like me. But her hair is brown, not red.
"Do you have any paint?" I asked.
"Yeah... Why?"
"Now it's your turn to dye your hair." I said, she went over to a random cabnit and pulled out a can of fire truck red paint, I didn't really know what I was doing, so I just stuck her hair in it. It was wet but if you turned her around, she might pass for me.
"Okay, thank you. Now you have to go." I said and pushed her towards the door.
"Wait!" SHe said and stopped before pushed her out, "Korse is always in his office," She pulled me to a mirror, and pointed at a large grey building. "I don't know exactly which one is his, but his in there."
"Thank you." I hugged her and she hugged me back.
"No thank you. Now go." She said and we both left her apartment
