All The Wounds That Are Ever Gonna Scar Me

We All Go To Hell

Autumn's POV

I reluctantly slipped out of the car and towards the building with Ray at my side. Fear rushed through me as we stepped inside. The halls were filled with teenagers. The first thing I noticed was that they all looked like Barbies and Kens. Fake, spray-on tans, bleached blonde hair and pink makeup. All the guys looked like jocks, with their oversized biceps, Justin Bieber hair, and football jerseys.

Ray lead me to the office down the hall. Behind a desk sat a short, plump woman who looked to be in her mid-fifties. She was feverishly typing, her fingers mercilessly attacking the keys. She only looked up after Ray cleared his throat loudly.

"How can I help you?" She asked, obviously annoyed.

"Um, this is Autumn, my sister. She's new here and she needs her schedule and locker combination." Ray informed the woman quickly.

"Ok, hold on." She replied, printing out the information and handing it to me.

"Thank you, have a nice day, ma'am." I said politely and walked out with Ray.

"C'mon, lemme show you around." He quickly ventured off into the hall, but as I tried to catch up, I felt someone grab my shoulder forcefully. I jumped a little and turned around to find another 'Ken' glaring down at me.

"Ya know, I was gonna beat you up at first, but then I changed my mind 'cos you have a nice ass." He whispered. I could smell the pot on his breath.

Disgusted, I raised my arm and connected my fist to his nose and ran away as fast as I could. Just as I turned around a corner, though, I bumped into a short figure with messy black hair and hazel eyes.

"Dude! I saw the whole thing, that was awesome! Nobody's ever stood up to Justin before!" He gushed, a huge smile on his face. Upon closer inspection I saw that he was wearing a lip ring and a lot of guyliner. He was kinda cute.

I realized that I was staring and looked at my shoes awkwardly.

"I wasn't really standing up to him, I was just defending myself. Big difference." I muttered shyly.

He just kept smiling, though.

"It was still pretty badass, though. I'm Frank." He said holding out his hand. I shook it with a happy smile.

"I'm Autumn a-"

"Wait a minute, Autumn?! Autumn Toro?!" He demanded.

"Uhm, yeah, why?" How did he know my last name?!?!

"Ray talks about you all the time! We were so excited to meet you!" He gushed quickly, grabbing my wrist and pulling me down the hall and towards a small group of guys that included my brother. They all looked pretty cool, unlike the rest of the kids here.

Mikey's POV

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Frank barreling toward us, dragging a girl behind him.

"Hey Ray, I found your sister!" He said proudly, patting the girl's head.

"Wait, you're Autumn? Shit, I had a welcome present for ya, but I left it at home." Gerard blurted, fake pouting.

"Yeah, I'm Autumn." She said, chuckling awkwardly.

And so a long, captivating conversation began. But I wasn't listening. No, I was too busy staring. She was beautiful. She had long, brownish red hair with blonde streaks. Her thin, perfect nose carried a septum piercing that sparkled a little under the lights. Her small, thin frame held a Green Day shirt, skinny jeans, and Converse hi-tops. God, she's perfect.

I used to say that love at first sight didn't exist, but now I know that's a lie. I fell for her. I fell hard.

She kept talking to the rest of the guys while I stared. Finally, when there was a break in the conversation, I decided to say something.

"Hey guys, we should ditch today. We could show Autumn around town." I said bravely, without even thinking.

But everyone else seemed to agree.

"Yeah, we can show her the new Starbucks!" Andy shouted happily.

Now look what I've gotten myself into! I can't ditch! I have to get good grades! I have to go to college! But... Autumn seems to like the idea. Oh well. I can get my makeup work tomorrow.

We quickly ran out of the school and down the block to the Starbucks. Autumn ordered a black coffee, so that's what I got. I made sure to sit next to her in the booth, too. It was so awkward though. I had no idea what she likes, so how can I start a conversation? I looked at her again and remembered she was wearing a Green Day shirt.

I gulped nervously and pushed my glasses up my nose.

"So... You like Green Day?" I squeaked, my throat constricted and heart racing. She turned to me and smiled gently and nodded.

"Yeah. How bout you?" She was still smiling. Oh, God, my chest is gonna explode!

All I could do was nod and try to smile back.

"Cool. What's your favorite album?" She asked, trying to get a conversation going.

Oh dear lord. It's that smile again!

'C'mon Mikey, get a grip!' I thought.

I took a deep breath.

"I love 'Nimrod' but I just got 'Uno' and that's pretty good too." I said breathlessly. Man, what's wrong with me today?!?!

She nodded. "Cool. I like 'Dookie.' They're older stuff is the best."

She smiled again. Dammit, stop smiling! Stop being so damn adorable!

I started sweating again, and suddenly the air conditioned coffee shop felt like an oven. I rolled up my sleeves a little, trying to relieve myself. I saw Autumns gaze drift down from my eyes to my wrist. I quickly pulled my sleeves down, but it was too late.

She saw.
