Gerard and I hadn’t told anyone about our relationship. Okay, no, that was a lie, I had told my counselor. Other than her, no one else knew not even Mikey and Ray. I just didn’t want people to hurt him more, knowing that he was in a relationship with a known fag. Gerard isn’t gay, he just likes me. But if Mikey was willing to openly start dating someone we hated, then we should be able to tell people about the relationship we’d been hiding for two months, right?

Gerard and I were sitting on the grass outside at school for lunch the next day. Gerard looks mildly worried. I don’t blame him. We had decided to tell them after Mikey told Ray.
Speaking of which, Gerard and I look up to see Ray sitting down in the grass in front of us. His sort of long curly hair blew in the wind as he greeted us. The three of us start to eat. It was halfway through lunch period before I noticed Mikey walking toward us, fingers laced with Pete’s.
I nudge Gerard who looks up and sees them. He lets out a ragged sigh. Ray noticed and looked behind him to see what had our attention. “What’s Wentz going with Mikey?” he asks. “It’s fine Ray” Gerard tells him.
When the couple finally got over to us, it was obvious Ray was going to say something but Gerard got his words out first. “What took you two so long? He asks. Mikey smiles. “Pete got nervous.” Pete blushed at this. “Why was he nervous?” Ray asked loudly. “We’re dating Ray” Mikey said nonchalantly. Ray nodded and went back to his food.
“You’re not even surprised?” I ask seeing as he doesn’t even seem fazed. “I can tell these things Frankie, for example I know that you and Gerard have been dating for a while” I nearly have a heart attack. “How did you know that?” Gerard asks sounding just as shocked as I am. “Hmm, I don’t know, should I start with the time I saw you two making out behind the school last month?” Gerard’s face goes as red as a fire truck and I can feel the heat rising to my cheeks as well.
“Since when are you two dating?” Mikey asks. “Since I, um, found out about Frank’s dad.” That was the only major event from that day that anyone else knew about. Gerard had made me promise not to tell anyone about what he almost did in that bathroom stall.
“Um what?” Pete didn’t know about my dad. The rest of the group looked at me expectantly. I guess I had to tell him. I look down at the grass. “My dad used to abuse me” I mumble. Pete’s eyes widen, much like Gerard’s did when I told him. “Oh my god man, that’s awf-” “Guys!” Ray cuts him off, looking behind Gerard and me.
“Hey Petey,” Justin calls as him and dirk walk over to us. “Finally came out and decided to hang out with your fag friends?” Pete sighs. “Go away Justin” he says boldly. Justin smirks “Yeah, like I’m actually going to listen to you.” He looks over at Gerard and smiles evilly and continuing to walk around our circle to where Pete and Mikey were seated. “So Gerard I see wittle Mikey-poo’s gotten better again” Gerard glared at him. “Fuck off” he growls. “I also see that he stopped caring about his weight since he’s eating and I can see the fat growing back.”
The sandwich Mikey was currently eating fell out of his hand and landed in the grass with a thud as we all go silent. “You son of a bitch” Gerard snarled, starting to get up, but Pete was faster, already to his feet, throwing his fist at Justin’s face.
Dirk starts to push past me to get to Pete, but I grab one of his big, meaty legs and pull backwards, making him lose his balance. He starts to pick himself up and go at me instead but Justin is already calling him off.
Right before they leave Justin turns to Pete “By the way Wentz you still punch like a girl.” Of course that asshole wasn’t going to admit that he lost this one and walk away in shame. I sit back down to finish my lunch, but Pete, Gerard, and Ray start running back toward the school. At first I think that lunch had ended and the bell rang but then I realized Mikey wasn’t with them.
Of course, in the excitement, I failed to notice that Mikey had gotten off and ran off to the school.

In other news earlier I looked over at my pile of stuff on the floor and saw this MASSIVE FUCKING SPIDER crawling on my leather jacket. My shoes are in my dad's room and it was like 3 in the morning so I wasn't going over there so I grabbed my half empty water bottle and threw it at the spider and it fell off but crawled under my jacket and I was like shit but I left it alone but then a few minutes later I was it crawling on my suitcase which is unzipped and I was like oh fuck no so I grabbed the bottle again and wacked it, and I think I killed it but I'm not sure and I'm too scared to go over and check
In other other news the power and wifi went out earlier and I had to go two whole hours in the dark with no internet it was awful.
