i read the chapter on ao3 earlier and i wanna say thAT THIS CHAPTER WAS FUCKING ADORABLE BUT HOW DARE YOU TEASE ME LIKE THAT AT THE END

Wow! I think I felt every emotion possible reading that chapter! Powerful stuff! What I loved about it was how naturally it happened (I say 'it' so I don't put a big spoiler in a comment!). It needed to happen though. Poor Gerard, so glad that Frank understands - Frankie's wonderful! Oh, and how adorable is Mikey?? :D Great chapter, as always. Sas xx

Take as much time off as you need! We prefer to get the story updated when you are not busy and in such a better mood. Don't rush the chapters. Some very intriguing things in this chapter! What did Donald mean? Frank thinks flowers are pretty - then berates himself for thinking that (nice touch). Loving the social commentary in this story - it's so Diff! ;) I love how you've created this believable, awful world. Can't wait to read more! Sas xo

Your note was borderline, but I will comment ;) I am curious as to how Gerard is so calm with people being nasty to him. I mean, never mind his hair, his attitude is different in itself! Mind you, a bit of sass did slip out, but in such a nice Way! And poor Frank - he has 18 years of conditioning to get past. That's going to be a struggle for him. Suddenly learning how the world really is but shouldn't be is hard. In Frank's own situation of being expected to be perfect and feeling trapped by it, I was wondering if you had intentionally meant to put in an undercurrent of commentary on the difficulties of fame when all you're trying to be is yourself? Great chapter again!! Sas xx

Okay, this is how this one's going to go - you're going to stop putting your writing down and I'm going to keep commenting - and, yes, I mean it! I know that it won't necessarily make you believe you're a great writer but it's a start. And, guess what, you'll find out that you're not getting great reviews because people want to 'make you feel better', but because you truly deserve it! Right, lecture over - onto the review. Slow is good, slow is natural. Changes of this magnitude don't happen fast and that you're prepared to go at the pace it needs is yet more proof of your talent (talent is not just putting words in the right order - it's plot, pacing, dialogue, imagination - you have them all). I love the gentle character building - we're getting to know Frank and Gerard only a little ahead of them getting to know each other which, I realise may change later, but is at this stage is wonderful. Loving the image of Gee with flowers in his hair. Great chapter!! One question - are you familiar with a comic called 2000AD? It started in the late 70s - fairly certain it was the originator of the word 'crud' as a mild curse word. Sas xo (ps - please read the first line of this comment again)
