I love the tender, relational aspect of this. That and the fact that you're an amazing writer, of course! You've obviously given this so much thought and invested a lot into the characters, which will keep me reading! Gerard's being a dick with Ray (as he would at that age) but Ray isn't helping himself. He knows he's worried and wants to say so, but doesn't have the age/experience to formulate a more appropriate and approachable way of getting his concerns over. I think you can tell, I love this story so much!! Sas xx
Beautiful! So tender and gentle. It took me along with all the emotions. At the start I felt nervous but was calm and sleepy by the end. This is a love story and a half! I'm so loving this!! You're an excellent writer! Sas xo

I hope the author doesn't mind me giving my thoughts on this question? It is because, sadly, to the casual observer, it does look exactly like what he's being accused of. The age difference is so great that out of concern they are more likely to believe the worst, as it is also the way a pedophile would often seem. As it's teacher/pupil it could also be seen as abuse of power and because of that the fact that, in this story, Gerard is almost 18 is irrelevant to them because of his history of finding it difficult to fit in so making him possibly vulnerable to this sort of thing. The fact that Frank is genuine and good-hearted is completely unknown to them and sadly, as I would expect, they find it hard to believe Gee because they think he's being taken advantage of. It's a known fact that pedophiles can manipulate their prey (yes, prey!) through fear - that might be threat of violence, blame or in this case, they think emotional blackmail. This is an extremely thoughtful, very well written and intense story. Seriously! Sas xx
