I'm not sure about the touching hands bit but the rocker thing is a way tp say I love you and you can say I love you with the of signing I L Y and Y is like the telephone gesture thing.

so this fic actually inspired me to look up some asl and start writing one with deaf gerard tho idk if i'll ever post it but i was googling shit n isn't i love you also like where you put all the fingers down except for pinky and thumb so like the telephone symbol thing (or the rock symbol thing i can't remember) and then like touch hands with the person u love bc if so that is cute as hell
