I think it's jealousy. Frank and Mikey are close and their friends while Gerard just keeps bullying Frank. He's jealous that they have a good relationship and that even though Frank likes Gerard, he's scared of him because he's always afraid to get beat up again.

Probably, Mikey doesn't want Gerard hurting Frank, and he probably knows Frank likes Gerard, but Frank and Mikey are friends, and Mikey is there for Frank. That's my opinion, anyway.
