Well, idk about that since we all know he's lying! Obviously he would save her life and be upset and the hospital even if his feelings were platonic. But, he def went the extra mile at the hospital - Mikey sure wasn't at her bedside. And being concerned and bawling your eyes out, leaving the origami swallow as a peace offering, laying as close as possible to her all night. So the question isn't rly did he lie, it's why?

Is he only protection her bc he feels he's not good enough? Is he protecting himself as well?

Okay, let's just say that Gerard didn't love her... Let's just imagine. Then why did he save her? Why did he cried his eyes out, feeling all guilty when he went to visit her at the hospital? Why did he shared the bed with her and why did he say that he was going to miss her?
