Fuck, thank you so much, these are th words I've been wanting to hear since i just started this fic. I put so much effort into making it realistic and really developing gerards and franks character (along with the original characters; to me, they are just as important). I will never do franks pov in tis fic- the narrators chapters exist only to show his sophisticated mindset and his feelings for gerard, which he doesnt reveal much on the outside.
and no, trust me they arent going to turn into 2 sex maniacs. I hate when that happens too. Plus, i really am not that good at writing smut, so it takes a lot of time and effort from me. But if there is going to be smut, im going to make sure it's decent not as in how hard frank thrusts, but more like their thoughts etc (not sure if thats a good idea but whatevs)
Anyways they have 2 more weeks of camp left and I have the whole fic planned- i hope you enjoy))
thank you so much for updating:):) still love this fic so much! I completely agree with @LeftShark- I can't believe this was your first time writing smut it's just incredible. Just wanted to add though, that my favorite thing about this fic has been the build-up to this chapter. I really like the tension it has created and all of the backstory and description and romantic/awkward bits of their relationship. It makes me feel like I'm reading frerard for the first time- I forget about every other frerard fic I have read before bc this one is so good- And it's definitely bc of the detail and realistic/long-ish thought process each character goes through. Basically, I'm just trying to say that of even though the smut was great and I loved it, I really hope this fic lasts a long time and the story is what makes it stand out from others and I hope you keep the same balance of story/romance. Like whenever I read something where there is a good story but it just becomes gratuitous amounts of smut, with less and less story, I tend to get bored and even if it is well written, the whole thing becomes less believable and harder to read. I don't know if you have read You Can Cry All I Want To, I Don't Care, but that is kind of an example of what I'm talking about. I mean, I read all the freaking TWO HUNDRED chapters, but by the end I was just scrolling through and skimming bc it had just become sex/drama/sex/drama/sex. And that can be a good pair, it's just that almost every chapter near the end was just them going at it, and the tiny parts of the story where they weren't were just way to emotional/dramatically intense to make any sense. Drama is good but it only makes sense if the reader has a full understanding of the relationship/ the depths of each person's character before they do something crazy/stupid to the other person. I'm sorry this comment is so long- I just really love this fic and I want it to continue being good and I always worry when I'm reading something this good and the first intense smut appears, that that is all it's gonna be from there on out. I'm sorry also if this seems like a critique/reflection of your story- it's really not! This fic has been absolutely perfect so far; like I said it's got a great balance and tension and its my fave EVER. xo keep it up mam. (Also one liners like 'earthworms have to assholes' are FUCKING GOLDEN)
Yo this is my fave fic of all time - mam please update this- and soon! I keep re reading it but I want MOREEE!!
