Yay finally someone who writes Top!Gerard seriously everyone writes Frank as tops but I just cant see that lol ^.^ Love it

I know he's his boss in literal terms, but use of it in this context seems very much as if he feels that Gerard is his boss in every aspect of his life.

I understand where you're coming from, but the boss comment is not BDSM related. Gerard is literally Frank's boss- Frank applied to a porn company and Gerard took him home. So, while I understand the aggressive standpoint, that part shouldn't be included. (In case you haven't already checked, no I am not the author)
I feel that this doesn't especially represent BDSM relationships, there's a lack of trust with Frank feeling that he 'just has to get used to [being cut]' and the slapping seems very aggressive with no caution or thought. Frank referring to Gerard as 'his boss' is just unsettling, and offers the impression that Frank is being forced into the relationship, and don't get me started on the kidnapping. The BDSM mantra is 'safe, sane, consensual' and this seems to completely go against all of it.
