would it offend anyone if i made frank Canadian for my fic?

i'm rewriting an old story of mine and I've decided to make it a frerard fic.
BUT for part of the plot to work i need frank to be Canadian. So the question is does any one think it would be weird if i made frank from canada and stuff cuz its either that or restructure the whole story which is alot of work but may end up happening anyways so it would just add to the amount of work in going to put into this.......

@APPLES! This might just be the way I view writing fan fiction, but when I'm working on a story, the band are fictional to me to begin with. Like, when I'm writing Frank as a character, I'm not trying to make him sound like real Frank Iero. He's as fiction as all my other characters...if that makes any sense at all. So I think it's completely fine to make him Canadian in your story.

I agree, these are works of fiction not an autobiography, if you want Frank in your story to be Canadian go ahead
