I'm from California (USA in case that isn't obvious). Possibly funny antecdote about my town: I live in a very, very small town called Oakley less than an hour from San Francisco. When I visit places & ppl ask where i live, they usually think I'M saying Oakland. (For those unfamiliar w the area, Oakland is SF's sister city. Its actually quite a large city) Then they find out its rly Oakley. Blank looks and usully the question - where the hell is that? Nowhere. But at least it's within driving distance of a lot so I shouldn't complain.

I'm from Long Island, New York. (You know, that one really long island... the name sorta gave it away, didn't it?)
