NEED INFO ON FANFICS BEING TRANSLATED

Guys I need some serious advice, I was privately approached by someone earlier today requesting to translate one of my current fics into another language on another site and they would credit me as author but I'm unsure about what to say (the message I received was written with an English translator so it was kinda hard to understand some of it) so if any of you have any information about fics being translated and posted elsewhere please contact me because I would really hate to say yes and be taken advantage of and ripped off and have someone else claim to have written something that I work really damn hard at. And to the person who made the request, if you are reading this I mean no offense to you, I just am
really quite new to this and want to protect my work.

Do you know what sort of website they're planning on posting it to? If it's Wattpad.com or something similar, you can contact the administrator and give a link to the original story if they take credit for it, and the story will probably be removed and the user most likely banned. If it's a less open sort of website, I'm not as sure. I hope that helps a bit! X

Ask them if they've translated for anyone else and ask them about him/her, also, they may not be the best if they have to use a translator to translate from their first language to English, check them out first and ask others abou them first, and if you do have problems with people copying your fics without permission, I know a few people who could help you.
