I just joined the site and I feel sort of the same way. I take time (because I have enough time on my hands) to message them and review their story as far as grammar and editing goes. That way, it's not embarassing or making them feel uncomfortable. It's also a good way to help the member with the story; I find doing that gives me more inspiration and less writer's block.
The covers are my favorite part, too!

Not puncuated, no grammer, no writing skills at all, it sucks. No more covers either anymore. I love pictures with the story, it's my favorite part!
