Ain't Nobody Gonna Take My Life, Ain't Nobody Gonna Get The Best Of Me
Gerard's POV
"I'm sorry! He looked like he was gonna lose it if he didn't find anybody so I had to Gee!", Ri pleaded as she backed away from me, "Plus how cute would it be if you guys played together, huh? Fucking adorab-ah!!" She ducked as I threw one of Petey's chew toys at her. I was gonna kill her before the night was over.
"I told you that was specifically between you and me. Nobody else. You know how insecure I am about it Ri. I mean fuck.", I flopped down onto the couch and put my face in my hands. She started rubbing my shoulder and genuinely apologized. "It's fine, I guess I was just scared of what he thought." Frankie's opinion meant more to me than my own mother's because he has the ability to leave as he pleases if we don't agree on something and I can't lose him.
**3 hour time lapse**
Frankie walked through the front door right as I was I finishing up dinner. He walked into the kitchen and straight to the fridge without a word. I went to open my mouth and ask what was wrong when he slammed his hands down on the counter top. "I can't do it Gee. I've gone completely blank." He looked like he wanted to break down and it shattered my insides. "I hate letting people down, but I have to pull out. I can't do the wedding." I ran my hand up and down his spine. I guess I had no choice but to do this.
"We'll do it together. I'll write the lyrics if you write the music and I'll sing for you." His head shot up with hope filled eyes. At some point in life I had to put my personal feelings aside for those I love. This was that point. I hated seeing him so broken and knew that was exactly what he needed to hear.
"Are you serious? You don't have to if you don't want to Gee.", he said trying to mask his excitement. I nodded and he jumped into my arms, "Thank you so much! God I love you.", he gave me a deep kiss and walked to the living room.
We spent the night coming up with band names and songs, keeping us up until two. We were both dead tired, so we were hysterical. "Frank, The Dead Ponies is not gonna work. Conversation over." He almost pissed himself because he was laughing so hard. "Let's go to bed baby.", I said kissing him on the cheek. He grabbed my hand and we walked into the room to get dressed down. We finally got situated and comfortable, Frankie wouldn't shut up about how stoked he was that I agreed. I'm glad I could make him happy again, his smile was contagious so I couldn't help but smile back at him while he described his perfect set.
"One problem baby. I still haven't heard you sing yet."
Goddammit Frankie.
