Chapter 37: Rock Show
Irmarie P.O.V.
I actually woke up very early the next morning. I guess my body knew I was in a hotel and that this hotel gives out free breakfast.
I rolled out of bed, only to fall on the carpeted floor.
"Fuck." I muttered.
I slowly got out of the ground. I walked over to Gerard, who was still sleeping. I gently shook him at first, but he wouldn't wake up. I tried to shake him a little bit more, but he still wouldn't wake up.
"Wake up, lazy ass." I hissed. He wouldn't wake up.
I stood there and pouted because Gerard wouldn't wake up. Then I got this idea, but it's not brilliant...
I walked to the other side of the bed. "Sorry," I said.
I got on it and started pushing Gerard until he fell to the floor with a loud thud.
"Ow..." Gerard groaned.
I walked to the side that Gerard fell and looked down at him. "Good. You're awake." I smiled.
"Why did you wake me up? What time is it?" Gerard asked.
"It's eight." I said.
"Why'd you wake me up so early?" Gerard asked as he stood up.
"Because this hotel has free breakfast. Now come on." I said as I threw his backpack at him. "Go change."
Gerard rolled his eyes and walked to the bathroom.
"Don't sass me!" I called and smiled.
---------------------
"So what are we going to do now that we're in New York?" Gerard asked.
"Gerard, we're in New York City. There's a lot of things we can do!" I said as we walked down Time Square. Lots of memories here...
"What are your plans then?" Gerard asked.
"Let's go to Starbucks first." I said.
"Didn't you have coffee at the hotel?" Gerard asked.
"Yes, but I want Starbucks." I said and grabbed his hand and ran threw the crowd of New Yorkers.
People gave us weird looks as we pass. Some even cursed at us, but hey, that's New York City.
On the way there, I thought if my brothers notice I was gone. Are they happy that I ran away? Or do I have to do some more crazier shit than running away in order for them to notice me?
My thoughts were interrupted when a man opened a glass door and I ran into it. I fell and Gerard jerked back.
"Holy smokes! I am so sorry!" The man said as he and Gerard helped me up.
My nose hurt like hell. "Ow," I said as I felt something warm flow down from my nose.
"Way to go, Patrick." Another guy said. He had short hair and his arms were full of tattoos.
"Oh my God! I am so sorry!" The man who opened the door said. According to the other guy, his name is Patrick.
His hat was a little bit to his side, or was it just me thinking that his hat was to the side?
"Andy, do you have a tissue or something?" Patrick said to- according to him, Andy.
"No. I think Pete has some." Andy said as he opened the door and it hit my face again.
"Andy!" Gerard and Patrick said as I pinched my nose.
"Just take me to a damn bathroom!" I said and walked into the building.
I walked to the left of the building. "Bathroom is the other way!" Patrick called. I turned around and walked to the right side of the building.
"Thanks!" I called.
I quickly ran to the sink as I went inside the bathroom. I let go of my nose and the blood flowed down quickly onto the sink.
"Shit." I muttered.
I turned on the faucet. I wiped the blood that was under my nostrils. I'm pretty sure the bleeding had stop...
I grabbed a paper towel and dried off the water. I cleaned the sink. As I did that, I notice that this bathroom was a little bit fancy. Guess I am in a restaurant... I hope.
"Are you okay in there?" Patrick asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said.
"You sure?" Gerard asked. "I don't have to drive you to a hospital?"
"I'm sure. The bleeding stop!" I said. I swear, sometimes Gerard can be a little pit overprotective, but I don't blame him.
I threw away the paper towel and went into the hall.
"See perfectly- oh my God you're Patrick Stump!" I said as I saw Patrick.
Why didn't I notice that earlier?
Patrick smiled and nodded. Gerard looked confused at first.
Someone ran to Patrick. "Did you really hit her with the door?" Pete asked.
Patrick looked down and hid his face with his hands. "I am so sorry!" He said.
"It's fine. You didn't know I was running by there." I said.
"Wait, you guys are in Fall Out Boy, right?" Gerard asked.
Patrick smiled and nodded.
"Oh, if Mikey hears about this he will flip!" Gerard said.
"If he hears about this." I said.
"Sorry about that. I should be more careful next time." Patrick said sheepishly.
And with that, Gerard wanted to get their autographs for Mikey. Patrick gave me a hug and said he was terribly sorry.
We then left and headed to Starbucks to get our coffee's.
"What time is the concert?" Gerard asked as we sat in a booth.
"7:30. Why?" I asked.
"We can see the Statue of Liberty." Gerard said.
"So clihcé of you," I smiled.
"Hey! What else are we suppose to do in New York for a day?" Gerard asked.
"We could go to Central Park after this." I said.
"You're just winging all of this, aren't you?" Gerard asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
After we had finished our coffees, we headed to Central Park. It was a huge! Since it was the beginnings of April, some trees were growing flowers on them that soon will turn into leaves.
There was a little performance going on in front of the big pond. A guy was sitting down with his guitar, waiting to play a song while a woman about twenty-five years old and two little girls started pulling people in the circle.
The two little girls started to dance around, they were both holding each others arms and ran in circles. The woman, who I am guessing is their mother, grabbed another woman and started doing to same thing that the little girls were doing. The guy started playing a very fast beat on his guitar that was dance-able.
The women and little girls switch partners and continued dancing. The people that were pulled into the circle started doing the same thing.
Gerard and I were standing outside the circle and saw them dance.
Some people that were dancing were pulling people in and they started to dance. A kid about eleven or ten came up to me and pulled me in to dance with him.
I don't usually dance, its not my thing, but this kid wanted to dance but he didn't have a partner, so I guess I'm his partner then.
I tell you, think kid reminded me of Mikey in a way his hair was and his glasses were and how slender this kid was like him too.
Well, me and this kid started dancing together until the song had ended. I looked over to Gerard and he was smiling. I hugged the kid and walked to Gerard.
"Glad you had fun!" Gerard smiled.
"Shut up, Gerard." I smiled.
--------------------
We went back to the hotel around five pm to get ready. After we had gotten ready we headed to the venue.
"There's a lot of people." Gerard said.
"What, haven't been around so many people before?" I asked.
"No, I haven't been around so many people with the same interest." Gerard said.
We walked inside the venue. I had tickets for the floor level. Most of the people there were already standing behind the barricade.
"Are all rock concerts like this?" Gerard asked as the place was already full with audiences.
"Yeah. Some are crazy fun. It's all depending on the band too." I said.
The lights lowered and Giants started playing.
"By the way, look out for people crowd surfing!" I called to Gerard.
There was a lot of people crowd surfing while Giants where playing. I look around my surroundings just in case if I ended up crowed surfing I'll know where to find Gerard.
Tonight Alive finally came out and everyone just went crazy. They first played Listening and a whole bunch of people went crowd surfing.
In the middle of the song, a couple of dudes behind me tapped my shoulder.
"Hey, is this your first time in a concert?" A guy with green and black hair asked me.
"It's my first time seeing Tonight Alive that's for sure." I said.
"Would you care if you went crowd surfing?" Another guy asked.
"No." I said.
The guys picked me up. "In coming!" They called and threw me onto the crowd. A lot of people held me up and push me forward to the stage. Jenna, the singer of the band, saw me and gave me a high five before security pulled me down and told me to go around the crowd and back to my spot.
I went searching for Gerard, which wasn't hard since I already knew where he was.
He saw me and smiled and hugged me. "You're crazy!" He said.
"I know!" I said. I turned around and saw the guys there. I gave them a thumbs up and they gave me high fives.
After the concert was over, we met the band and headed back to our hotel.
"That was actually fun!" Gerard smiled.
"Concerts are always fun what are you talking about." I said as I laid down the bed.
"Not if you go to some concert that is being held in a big ass stadium it isn't." Gerard said.
"I am so bringing you to some more rock concerts." I smiled.
"Can't wait!" Gerard smiled and kissed my forehead. "Goodnight." He said and turned off the light.
I actually woke up very early the next morning. I guess my body knew I was in a hotel and that this hotel gives out free breakfast.
