"Cherry, I know I can't make it into your class by the end of today, but you can show some of the censored My Chem stuff to your class" Frank Iero told his daughter "okay" Cherry Jamia Walst-Iero was a little disheartened when he told her he wasn't able to make it to her class "what time's Mum home?" She asked "I'm not 100% sure, honey" Frank apologized to his daughter, except for the fact he was lying to her to keep his wife's homecoming a surprise for Cherry and her class "can I show them Mum's band? Not My Darkest Days, Dad, Three Days Grace" Cherry asked.

Frank was a little concerned "what?" He asked "when Mum and Uncle Neil did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in Nebraska" Frank chuckled "alright, except mute the part where Matt swears" although a bit rough wiht her language, Matilda 'Matt' Walst-Iero was a tender-hearted soul with the biggest heart of gold anyone had the pleasure to meet. Cherry's friend Charlotte liked Matt the moment she met her, except her mother had been a little rude to Matt with regards to her eyebrow piercing and the shaven look she went for with her black hair.

Cherry, Lily and Miles went to school and were overjoyed to see their many surrogate uncles, James and Grayden were a little upset Brad wasn't able to make it, but they hoped he'd get home in time to see them in school "where's your mum, Iero?" Louise Jacobson, the Vice-Principal's daughter, sneered at Cherry "she's away with my Uncle Brad at the moment, at least my mum is doing something she adores" Cherry shot back, sassing the brat of the school in a way that would make her 'Uncle' Gee proud.

Louise sniffed and shoved Cherry to the ground "oh, Louise, it's Walst-Iero. I take my mom's surname like my siblings!" Cherry shouted after her, taking James' hand to get her back on her feet again "spoilt brat, if I told her what Aunt Matt did for a living, she'd call me a straight liar to my face" Grayden said "she'd do the same with Dad" James pointed out as the Walst's went to their class with their cousin.

Matt arrived at the school with Brad "we'll catch up with you guys later!" She called to Barry Stock and Neil Sanderson "got it, lil' Walst" Neil joked, Matt flipped him the middle finger with a smile as she and Brad went to their kids' class "my Mom is Matt Walst-Iero..." "I second that" Matt leaned on the door-frame with her arms folded and a smirk on her lips "Mom, Dad said..." "Yeah, he lied so Brad and I could surprise you kiddos" Matt gave her daughter a hug as Brad hugged his niece and his sons.

"Well, as you lot can see, name's Matt Walst-Iero and I'm Cherry's mum. The dude beside me's my big bro, Brad" Matt smirked at the shocked ten-year-olds "Ms Walst-Iero..." "Matt, please" she simply said with a soft smile "is it true you're a singer?" Matt nodded "yup, I'm in a band with Brad named Three Days Grace. I took Adam Gontier's place when he quit three weeks before a tour and I took a break from my old band My Darkest Days" Matt kindly said.

Louise looked furious at Cherry, who was smug at her "also, which one of you's Louise Jacobson? Got a bone to pick with ya bullying my daughters and son with my nephews as well" Louise shifted uncomfortably in her seat "just 'cause your dad's the VP of the school doesn't entitle you to bully others for the sake of it. Grow the heck up" Matt firmly snapped at the girl "I only say 'heck' 'cause you're too young for the language I usually use. These three..." Matt nodded to her daughter and nephews "not so much since I gotta use it around Cherry's father."

"Can you sing, Matt?" Another girl asked, Matt shrugged with Brad "sure, Cher. Why don't you pick a song...a non-explicit one, might I add" Brad said to his niece. Cherry smiled innocently at her mother, Matt smiled with a strained smile. Cherry picked Cancer by My Chemical Romance.

Matt began playing the gentle keys on the piano in the class room as her melody circled the room opposed to the usual screaming she did on stage. Three Days Grace's songs were a little too old for the kids in James, Grayden and Cherry's class, but Matt enjoyed playing a song her husband had done with Brad playing his bass with her as well.

Notes

I got inspiration from a story on this site with the kids of MCR, P!ATD and FOB. I threw in TDG because I've grown to like the music. Adam's meh, but I prefer Matt with the band as it reminds me so much of My Chem with the brother singer/bassist. Although in My Chem, the singer was the older brother, Matt's six years younger than his brother Brad.

Matt in this story is female and married to Frank. Jamia was Frank's surrogate sister who looks after Miles, Lily and Cherry when Matt and Frank are on tour or if Gerard's unavailable.
